Palin is Running, and She’ll Get Creamed
The Constitution Club ^ | 02-12-11 | Dave the Sage

Posted on 02/12/2011 7:47:16 PM PST by TheConservativeCitizen

It does appear that former governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah “you betcha” Palin will be throwing her beauty pageant sash into the presidential ring. She has added veteran Republican strategist Michael Glassner to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, and steer her political operation. For the political insiders this is the strongest indication yet that Sarah Palin is seriously laying the groundwork for a serious bid for the white house. Unfortunately, she is probably the most disastrous of the current crop of possible GOP hopefuls and in my humble opinion would stand absolutely no chance in the general election. I will even venture to say that I don’t think she’ll make it out of the primaries. She is mistaking the general support the Right gives her as a person of character and cheerleader Tea Party as political support for a presidential bid. I submit to you the two are not the same and she will find this out the hard way. And if by some miracle she were to get the nod to lead the Republican party into the next general election we will witness a most embarrassing of electoral trouncings since Mondale got crushed by Reagan.

I defend Palin vigorously from the hatred and smears from the Left and admire her commitment to what is right and true. For the most part I share her politics, values, and ideology. And I think she makes a great fundraiser and cheerleader for the Right in general and the Tea Party in particular. But she had her chance for glory and success on the national stage and frankly blew it.

Oh come on. Your map has Palin behind in the Carolinas and Florida. Who believes that?

It doesn't matter what we "believe" this is the state of the polling as of right now.

Can it change? Absolutely... but the fact that she is so far behind already, against a completely incompetent Marxist piece of filth, is not a good sign. The people don't like Obama... his approvals are quite bad in the same polls, but they don't like Palin even more.

You don’t know me. You don’t know how old I am, or how many campaigns I participated in. Contrary to what some people say about Reagan, he was articulate, intelligent, and had Charisma that is virtually unmatched in the Modern era.

Trying to brush aside the polls as “push polls” and “democrat sponsored” is nothing more than laughable. You made some of the same claims about O’Donnell in Delaware, and look how that turned out.

Why was PPP so accurate in the last election cycle?

Moreover, even if you want to throw away PPP, you still have Rasmussen to deal with... Let me guess, he’s part of the conspiracy too?

Nope, she's younger.

And she's already demonstrated in Alaska she won't get rolled the way Reagan repeatedly allowed himself to be.

(Lebanon, Immigration Reform, tax rate cuts for mere 'promises' of future reduced spending).

(Isn't it odd that the left did a "pincers" attack on Reagan, simultaneously linking him with Obama and attacking him as "not that popular" and "not that conservative"?)

Cheers!

She is going to be the nominee. They can’t do anything to stop her. If she is the nominee against this goofy Marxist, she is going to clobber him among the white vote by 1984 style dimensions and the same idiots, who are now trashing her, will be talking about how Palin O'Donnell has evolved and become a titan.

Remember that? How did that work out for us?

Palin quit in Alaska. That’s the ultimate in “getting rolled...”

No, she redeployed.

Quitting in Alaska was due to be the end of her influence, hein?

FAIL on your slander.

Cheers!

Reality is not something the Palin Cult deals in. It's all about attacking the messenger because they don't like the message.

This is the same group who ridiculed the polls and statistics all the way up to the day after Obama was elected. Even then, they refused to believe that Obama had won. How else did the “Birther” movement get started?

The attacks on Palin would get worse. She has no chance.

I don’t want her for President...I want her on the Supreme Court. Why shoot for a low grade job like that when you can go for SCOTUS instead? ;)

“Can it change? Absolutely”

And it will change, once the primary “debates” begins.
Once the rubber starts meeting the road and she mops up the floor in debates.

Plus Palin’s run, if she runs, will bring a whole new group of credible Tea-Party candidates along with her, as well.

*Yawn*

I'm still voting for her. Primaries and General.

Wanna change my mind? Stop parroting the usual BS and find me someone better who already has National exposure.

Yeah, I guess all those years in elective office, culminating in the Governor's office of the largest state in the Union, doesn't matter to anyone who just wants to hate on Sarah.

Apparently to be a real conservative you have to think Palin is Reagan incarnate. Very odd.

Nope, but neither should 'conservatives' trash her, simply because they don't think she can win. Why not let everyone TRY, and see what shakes out?

You were one of the backstabbers who smeared O’Donnell, even after she was nominated. I remember that well. YOu must be pleased with how Coons is voting. Oh, I forgot . You were pimping the RINO Castle. Are you secretly Tom Ross?

Let me help you, bub, with a few very basic facts:

Palin is not O’Donnell, and the United States is not Delaware.

That's funny, making outlandish inflated claims like that does nothing for your credibility.

To begin with, she is the ONLY governor to never finish their term in the state. She was the mayor of a town of about 15,000 for about 5 1/2 years, and her being governor to the “Largest” state in the USA is hilarious! Having a total population of of just under 664 thousand people is hardly considered to be the “Largest” state in the union.

Well, I take that back, if you count Moose, Bear, salmon, caribou, and millions of acres of Black Spruce, then you would be correct.

I don’t have to deal with any poll eighteen months before a general election. None of them is worth anything at this point. If you don’t know that, you need to educate yourself a lot more about the historical inaccuracy of polls this far out. You might check out 1980 since you fancy yourself such a Reagan aficionado.

And spare us all your platitudes about Reagan. You troll FR to smear real conservatives like Palin and you push for the pizza guy, Herman Cain, who couldn’t even get the Senate nomination in his own state.

Like the MSM and the Obaama administration (but I repeat myself) would merely play footsies with anyone else the GOP puts forward.

This is just the voice of the entrenched Washington parasitic class trying to stave off their own demise.

Cheers!
