To begin with, she is the ONLY governor to never finish their term in the state. She was the mayor of a town of about 15,000 for about 5 1/2 years, and her being governor to the “Largest” state in the USA is hilarious! Having a total population of of just under 664 thousand people is hardly considered to be the “Largest” state in the union.
Well, I take that back, if you count Moose, Bear, salmon, caribou, and millions of acres of Black Spruce, then you would be correct.
Geographically, Alaska is as large as California, Texas, Montana and a portion of New Mexico combined. The citizens of any state in the Union except Alaska can drive from one end of their state to another in a day.
Which of my claims were outlandish, or inflated? She held several elected offices, culminating in the Governorship of the largest state in the Union. True, that is largest in land area, but also the one with the most natural resources of which she was a pretty good steward. She didn't allow the oil and gas companies to roll the natives of AK anymore, as they had been doing for years. She figured that if they were going to take Alaska's natural resources, they should compensate the PEOPLE of Alaska for them.
You can scoff at her experience all you want, but she actually HAS some executive experience, unlike the present occupant of the White House.
As for her being the only Gov. who never finished a term, how many other Govs. of Alaska were being personally bankrupted by a rival political party? The people who spearheaded all of the lawsuits and ethics violations charges were involved in President Obama's campaign in AK, and after the election, did everything they could to try to destroy Sarah Palin. She saved the people of Alaska well over $150K by leaving office, since she knew that as soon as she did, the lawsuits would stop, and she was right.
