"It's not the first time I've cooked for the President," says chef Alan Wong. "But every time, it's a chicken skin moment."
Last night, Barack and Michelle Obama, Obama's sister and her husband and a half dozen friends dined at one of the President's favorite restaurants in Hawaii, Alan Wong's on King Street.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Obama has adventurous tastes, says Wong, and always orders the multicourse chef's menu. Michelle, who usually eats lighter, joined him last night. On the menu:
•A trio of appetizers: Wong's seafood cake, a tomato with li hing mui dressing and Wong's famous "soup and sandwich," a two-color Big Island tomato soup and foie gras grilled cheese sandwich. •Lobster lasagna •Ginger-crusted onaga •The President's favorite entree, soy-braised shortribs. •And his favorite dessert, "The Coconut," coconut ice cream covered with dark chocolate, in a shape that looks exactly like half a coconut, served with a colorful array of tropical fruits.
Wong cooked for the Obamas personally. "A number of the staff, both in the kitchen and the front of house, had never served the President before. I thought it was cool they'd now have a story to tell their grandkids."
Michelle Obama, interested in healthy and natural foods, raises bees at the White House and makes her own honey. She's gifted Wong with a supply of White House honey.

They were reported married in 1961 and Obama was supposedly born the same year - 1961.
His parents divorced when he was 2 years old and his mother married another East-West Center student. In 1969, his stepfather moved the family to the stepfather’s native Indonesia. After two years in Jakarta, Barack moved back to Hawaii to stay with his maternal grandmother, who still lives in the same house on Beretania Street. He enrolled in the fifth grade at Punahou School.
Reports are the Obama spent from the age 6 to 10 in Indonesia.
I belive that this archive has been altered, just one of the many that they have been able to rewrite the facts.

No foolin, obama’s media throws that line in “born and raised in Hawaii”. Oooops forgot that whole Indonesia thing. And about his eclectic dining tastes, how many media pictures show our kenyan commie dictator snarfing down a cheeseburger and fries? Didn’t he treat the head of Russia to a heart attack in a sack?

Interesting you should say that. I was just focusing on the quote they had of him saying he has hated ice cream ever since working at Baskin Robbins .
I made the same comment a few months ago when there were pictures of him in Marthas Vineyard stuffing a cone in his mouth. I had remembered that story from back before the campaign. I did a search for it and came up with the link. When clicking on the link, the message 'Archive Does not Exist " appeared. So I had to go into a Google cache for the story.
When I posted the link this time, I was surprised that it worked. What was even more surprising was the article which was supposedly written in 2004, looked totally different than the original. In the original, there was no picture of him and his family. Also, most striking, was there was not that "biography column " listing his birth place as Kapiolani Medical Center and the other info. Now interestingly if you type Honolulu Star March 21,2004 into Google, there is no cache copy available. That indicates the article link was changed which suggests they changed the article itself, as you have suggested.
I remember the original article vs. the "new" one. This is scary. It's important to save print newspapers and print out and archive original digital news stories.

I know what you mean. The sad truth is that Americans elected this POS to be their president. Even more sad, is that many are still in denial about how dire are the threats we face. I find it diffucult to believe that the Mrs. usually eats lighter. If you take a look at the two of them, it's obvious who eats more food!

foie gras grilled sandwich??? How indicative of Obama....can't have a grilled cheese sandwich made with American cheese!
Plus, this menu is a slap in the face, yet again, to all Americans who struggle just to put 'regular' food on the table.

Oh, she does not! This was written as if she dons a bee keeper's suit and tends the bees. What a farce!
And she may act as if she's interested in healthy food but we can see that she's clearly NOT eating healthy!
