Poor taste? Well that’s the understatement of the year.
Bob Jones University, known for its strict adherence to Christian doctrine, has seriously missed the mark on this one. In an attempt to easily identify freshman on campus, Bob Jones University has passed out “1st BJ” buttons in hopes that professors and upperclassmen alike will extend grace to those scrambling to get to class, or wandering around completely lost during their first week.

Apropos nothing in particular, the 7-11 this morning had pink-frosted "Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer" doughnuts; rather than the usual toroid shape it was a sort of figure-8.
I'm just not sure what to make of that.
I did NOT buy one.

Bob Jones simply abbreviated their name, much as UCLA, BSU, NYU, and UVA do. Then, for example, '1st NYU' would make sense on a button?
