Glenn Beck: The New LDS Apologist?
Art Vanick ^

Posted on 10/04/2010 1:11:50 PM PDT by Amerisrael

"This is weird. Glenn Beck, who became a Mormon a few years back, is now using his program to promote Mormon archaeology. If you click on these links you can view it. He also has a conspiracy theory about how science, government, commerce, and religion, not in the least, the Smithsonian Institute, purposefully altered history. My good friend Kurt Van Gorden sent me the links below, as well as the descriptions of what he is saying in the videos.

In the first video, about half way through, I about fell out of my chair when Beck referenced Adair’s History of the American Indians ( imagine! ) as proof of similarity between Native American ceremonies and Israelites. He forgot to mention that it predates the BOM by several decades (It was written arounde 1765!). He then ties the Egyptian pyramid math to the Indian mounds (only FARMS and the Maxwell Institute have ventured in this arena, which instantly identified his sources for me). Then in the second video, he uses the fraudulent Newark Stone and the fraudulent Bat Creek stone Hebrew inscriptions as proof of Hebrew among the Indians."

Make that post #143 where you even quoted my link to you. So why do you keep asserting that no one has offered a link to evidence?

He pulled that same lying nonsense on me, the thread is full of his repeating the "no link, no proof" nonsense.

It is a type of pattern of these proMormonism posters, on this thread.

I have NEVER heard him say - on his FOX TV SHOW — than anyone who opposes Moronism is a bigot. Produce the transcript.

You are correct. Putting your faith in the wrong Jesus can’t save you.

There are so many wrong Jesus’ out there. Islam has their version too. He comes back at the end and says he wasn’t God’s son and that someone else died on the cross, not him.

There’s the hippie free love version of Jesus, who says whatever you do and believe is groovy, man. Just love everyone and everything and love is all you need, man.

There’s a Jesus who is removed, harsh, legal and jusgmental and only appears to mete out grace if you ask his mother or other officially recognized saints. Jesus is the justice and judging side of God, his mom representing the loving and merciful side of God.

There’s Jesus’s out there that people have that say he was just a great avatar or teacher, and that everyone needs to find their own path to god/godhood like he did.

There’s Jesus’ out there that people have concocted that say all religions eventually get you to god.

There’s Jesus’ out there people have made up that say people are by nature, good, and you don’t have to change anything in your life because God made you just the way you are. God accepts you as you are (which He does) but ifyou don’t want to try to live any better than you are right now, you don’t have to because you’re just fine the way you are.

Then there are Jesus’ people have devised that were once a mortal human being like we are, but he lived a good enough life to become a god. And that if we live a good enough life, like Jesus did, we can become a god just like him.

Jesus did say in Scripture that many would come claiming they were Christ. Many others would also come saying “Christ is here!” and “Christ is over there!” And many would be deceived.

There are plenty of false Jesus’ all around. There are a lot of people that point folks to false Jesus’. And there are many that are deceived.

I am solidly against any Jesus that deceives people and whatever group that chooses to promote such a Jesus to others as being the real thing.

Uh?...Well if you believe this then you’d best be telling the Mormon leadership to stop chumming up to the Islamic leadership.

But my point, which you seemed to have missed is the threat we have currently is about booting Reid, Pelosi and the bunch who support the tearing down of our country...Islam hasn’t gone far enough yet...and besides the battle against them currently is the Mosque in NY City...but there will be others we’ll fight as well. However they are not on the political tickets for November. That is the war we are in now.

Harry Reid looks like a turtle...and is a weasel of the worst kind. If they picked him as Man of the Year...just goes to show they have no discernment at all. Wonder how close he and Romney are?

I have no agenda, go back and read the post you pinged me to. To tell you the truth, I didn't even realize who I was posting to, I was just answering what what was posted. As for this thread, I have a problem with the poster who put it up, it' is an obvious distraction designed to cause disruption...just like it has done. And you should back the f**k up and quit your knee jerk reactions to me, you should know better, but may I should digress. I personally could give a rats ass if Beck is a Mormon or a freakin moron, if he stands for the Constitution and America I don't even care if his name is MHGinTN, as long as he is on my side.

GFY and your attacks about my agenda, you surprise me, I thought you were brighter than that....my bad I guess.

You’ve been provided with links...can’t believe you continue to state that has not occured. It would be easy to imagine you somehow believe they are not worth checking....not only that posters have posted the information for you to view...and still no comment let alone debating them. So what’s your beef?

Heres some more stuff kid...

Turn yer TV on...

its that idiot box with the knobs...

Glenn Beck is not a Christian...

He keeps boasting that he is a mormon and we Christians are bigots...

he doesnt even pretend to be a Christian..

He doesnt even talk like a Christian..

Take one of his TV shows last month...

He equated the LORD Jesus Christ who is God to 3 mere men, Moses, Gandhi and Dr Martin Lother King and said that they all were here on earth for the same reson, to lead a revolution..

He said, “We’re going to talk a little bit about this guy. That’s GLOBAL REVOLUTION”

He was referring and pointing to...the LORD JESUS Christ, and he calls Him “this guy”...Beck went on...

(Note: I didnt capitalize Son, He, Him and His etc because Beck didnt...But you knowe that I normally would)

“And the thing I find interesting. Dont talk about him tonight as a.. as the son of God. Instead let’s talk about him as a man. The theory is that some people might have missed him IF HE IS INDEED THE MESSIAH, missed him because he wasnt a revolutionary, or they didnt think so at the time. If you read the words of Josephus who was a historian back in the day. He wrote Jewish antiquites. And he talks about Jesus are just being just another guy they nailed to a tree, as hes just another revolutionary. And they talk about Josephus talks about all these revolutionaries all these so called “messiahs” that up in the hills. Well we dont really know any of the other names of the revollutionaries that lived at his time. What was it that he did that changed the world? GLOBAL REVOLUTION.”

(Clenn Beck TV Show Friday, Sept 17, 2010)
_____________________________________________________

“This weekend is a God event, not a Christian event” (Glenn Beck, at the end of his TV show, August 25, 2010)
____________________________________________________

In his September 2, 2010 TV program Beck said, “We need a Jesus or a Buddha.”
___________________________________________

“The spirit is going to teach tomorrow and youre going to feel things you never felt before. 8/28” (Glenn Beck, on his radio show August 29, 2010)

Which spirit Glenn ???
___________________________________________________

Pluralist religious emphasis of the event..

“Something beyond imagination is happening. America today begins to turn back to God. I think this is an opportunity to gather God’s people together and wake people up and I just have this feeling that this is the beginning of something gigantic in this country. That it is a spiritual awaking”

Glenn Beck went on to say that he believes that “the third great awaking has started in the America”

(Glenn Beck August 28, 2010)

Jonathon Edwards the 1st great spiritual awaking
George Whitfield, John Wesley the second great spiritual awaking..

Beck is not the leader of the 3rd Great Awaking..

Nor is he the leader of the Christian Right nor the TEA Parties...

I don't care what faith he is either...as long as he keeps the teachings and promoting it off the air and sticks to what he does well. Unfortunately he has begun to do these and for that has brought a “heads up” to the Christian community.

Beck knows he is walking a fine line....and he knows both the Christian community and the Mormon community is watching as he walks that line. But the bottom line is I doubt he'll dare go too far as he will indeed loose ratings etc.

As for those who speak out against Beck bringing Mormonism to the table on his shows. Well I have no problem with them speaking out strongly when they see this happening. They have been there and seen it all... more importantly because of that... they can see thru the deception and the manner in which Mormonism sneaks under the radar of the unsuspecting....which the average individual will not detect...and why new Christians or those who are not grounded get hooked into Mormonism. They need to be warned of the falsehoods and the danger.

Want to decipher this one ???

Beck on his Sept 17, 2010 TV show ...

Beck said, “We’re going to talk a liittle bit about this guy. That’s global revolution”

He was pointing to and referring to a depiction of someones idea of...

JESUS...(Who is God and not just “this guy”)

Beck went on...

I stillhave a problem understanding how Glenn can tout the Christianity of the founders when his religion is founded upon the claim that ALL (not most, not some, but ALL) of Christianity was in apostasy until Joe Smith restored it for God in the 1830s. The contradictions just keep piling up, and if no one is going to confront Glenn on his errors, how fast will his following crumble when the facts are presented and destroy his creds?
