"This is weird. Glenn Beck, who became a Mormon a few years back, is now using his program to promote Mormon archaeology. If you click on these links you can view it. He also has a conspiracy theory about how science, government, commerce, and religion, not in the least, the Smithsonian Institute, purposefully altered history. My good friend Kurt Van Gorden sent me the links below, as well as the descriptions of what he is saying in the videos.
In the first video, about half way through, I about fell out of my chair when Beck referenced Adair’s History of the American Indians ( imagine! ) as proof of similarity between Native American ceremonies and Israelites. He forgot to mention that it predates the BOM by several decades (It was written arounde 1765!). He then ties the Egyptian pyramid math to the Indian mounds (only FARMS and the Maxwell Institute have ventured in this arena, which instantly identified his sources for me). Then in the second video, he uses the fraudulent Newark Stone and the fraudulent Bat Creek stone Hebrew inscriptions as proof of Hebrew among the Indians."

You really want to lie to these people? This is also from that link, and it sounds very impressive when you hear Beck pushing Romney on the tape as he dismisses Palin in a single sentence.
“Glenn Beck and radio pals Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere rattled down the list of potential Republican nominees for President in 2012 this morning, and they had some bad news for the Tea Party movement: Sarah Palin probably won’t run, Ron Paul is still and long shot, and Mitt Romney, as of now, is the GOP’s best bet.
While Gray and Burguiere are harsh to most of the candidates, Beck spreads the love around. He tells his co-hosts that he likes Palin but doesn’t think she will run, Bobby Jindal but doesn’t think he has the charisma, and Congressman Paul but doesn’t think America is ready for him. Then, at the bottom of the pile, he finds Mitt Romney:
“I have to tell you that Mitt Romney could be the only guy that could win, and I don’t know if he could because I think that Americans are going to be I mean, this country is going to be in deep trouble by 2012, and the next term, if it’s not decided this term, the next term will decide our fate. Then I hope that Americans are ready for an adult and are ready for hard news.”
Good for Mitt, that's about the only part of him I would support.

I hope you guys aren’t talking about two different things from each other, like individual Mormons that don’t know much about Mormonism and are thinking they are Christians, versus Mormonism as a religion.
I do think its Beck that is hated more than his religion.. Or when Becks religion is brought up, those two should also be included...

The Jesus the Mormons believe in that Joseph Smith made up is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. Jesus, the Incarnate Son of God, God come in the flesh, was VIRGIN born, not a result of a sexual encounter between God the Father who visited Mary in human body. God the Father did NOT have a harem and Satan is NOT Jesus half brother by another spirit wife of God's.

Belief in any old creature named Jesus is not going to save anyone. The only Jesus who saves if God come in the flesh, the Jesus as portrayed in the Gospels of the NT, not some one made up and presented by some apparition.
I don't know what Smith was drinking or smoking but it sure must have been potent.

I actually might vote for Palin now. I see she isn’t narrow minded and puts her country first. She has no problem with Beck. How can you support her?

Maybe you should start a political party and government that only allows your view of what Christianity is. Outlaw any other religion from involvement. Remove anyone who disagrees with you from any TV, radio, or print media. That would work.

Well, I don’t know what GG is talking about but I am talking about lds and islam both leading people away from eternity with God. Funny how the post started asking the question is Beck the lds cheerleader........and has devolved into people screaming about islam.
Excuse me, Foxxy, but where is it stated that Mormons blow things up and kill people to make sure that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the way the world will be?
Mormons were beaten out of every town they ever lived in until they got into an area that was nothing that anyone else wanted. Just like the Native Americans, Mormons were persued until there was nowhere else to go.
You may have data that was valid 180 years ago, but for the most part, there is not an iota of truth in what you state. And for my own personal satisfaction, what is wrong with asking women and young women to dress modestly? Why should Mormons allow their young women to entice young men?
