Recently, Christine ODonnell, a candidate associated with the Tea Party, won the Republican Senate primary in Delaware who among many other things sued a former employer for gender discrimination claiming that she suffered mental anguish. What ODonnell is also known for is her views on sex particularly her anti-masturbation views. ODonnell appeared on MTV back in the 90′s explaining her views of sex and masturbation which is available here on youtube.
Watch the youtube video and take note of the end. Except for a token guy, its a group of women. ODonnell even says about her presumably future husband masturbating, If he already knows what pleases him, and he can please himself, then why am I in the picture? This quote exposes the undercurrent behind anti-masturbation attitudes. Its not so much anti-masturbation but anti men masturbating. People against masturbation have a fear that men might actually have an alternative to women. The answer to ODonnells question should be obvious. A woman would ideally be providing more than a mans hand both sexually and not.
When it comes to a woman who cant/wont contribute to a relationship non-sexually (a growing group of women particularly among younger women), and who is planning on trying to control a man through providing a minimum of sex, then she has a lot to worry about when it comes to men realizing that their hand will do more for them than a woman will. The obvious answer to this is for women not to be harpies who withhold sex as a means of controlling men, but its unlikely they will change in that regard. Instead, we will see more anti-male masturbation shaming language.

Overall, this underscores the need for conservatives to fully assess candidates before nomination not simply mindlessly support them because they spout populist rhetoric.
As an aside, I wonder how many of the Tea Party backed female GOP candidates would answer a question regarding affirmative action or no-fault divorce.
You’re saying you actually believe negative implications about Ms. O’Donnell? The one now... running for Senate?
Why in the world would you?
I think you’ve shown me that feminism can be outdone by masculinism.
What’s provocative about O’ Donnell. Without porn it’s not all so much of an enticement to masturbate.
Personally, even I think there’s a problem with those who do porn and masturbate, but don’t get a REAL LIFE.
>>Despite the humorous title, the article is a serious examination of Christine O’Donnell’s more provocative positions. <<
They weren’t provocative, they were candid. And they were said off the cuff (and rather principled) when she was media-mugged.
>>Overall, this underscores the need for conservatives to fully assess candidates before nomination not simply mindlessly support them because they spout populist rhetoric. <<
Overall, this underscores the need for Conservatives to look at the candidate in toto and not simply mindlessly deride him or her based on MSM talking points.
Your derision is misplaced and your analysis inaccurate. You should reexamine your Conservative credentials and look her her accordingly.
” sued a former employer for gender discrimination claiming that she suffered mental anguish. “
That is much more disturbing to me than the stuff about masturbation or witchcraft.
Regarding the masturbation issue, I think it’s important to consider the context of her views at the time (I’m not certain if she still holds them). She was a young Christian woman, and she was advocating a moral position on a topic that is well aligned with traditional Christian values. To call her an “anti-masturbation crusader” without noting the reason she held those views and thought it important to try and spread them, is unnecessarily antagonistic.
Also, the assertion that she only focused on male masturbation is tenuous. It looks to me like that conclusion was drawn from a few seconds of an edited video clip. Do we know the context of the conversation? Was she asked a question by one of the women in the group specifically about male masturbation? Did she focus inordinately on male masturbation in her public campaign? The video doesn’t give us that information, and I can only assume the author of this piece doesn’t have that information either, and if so, they’re being presumptious.
Btw, is this your site or are you just reposting the article?
I doubt there will be a critical vote on masturbation in the next few years that will destroy the Republic. I will be concerned with that. Another liberal or RINO would deeply concern me. This election may be our last shot at stopping some of the legislation that is about to land on us and cripple our economy ... we need to stop these basterds by circling the wagons and firing OUT.
Christine’s trying to save you from going blind, and all you can do is hate her. Whatever.
By the way, how do you manage to type so well one-handed? Impressive!
I don’t believe she ever said that she would outlaw masturbation or even push for it. She just said she was against it. The lefties always want people to extrapolate that she would push to ban something because she doesn’t believe in it. Oddly enough, even though many lefties say they’re personally opposed to something like say - abortion, they always push it on everyone else. Another example of lefty projection.
When masturbation becomes as big a threat as $12 TRILLION in debt, I’ll worry about what she thinks on the subject.
“I think youve shown me that feminism can be outdone by masculinism.”
The author of the piece is associated with a group I’m familiar with. Their views politically are all over the place, but they’re united by their stand against radical feminism and the associated horrors it has unleashed on society. On some points, they get a bit myopic and can go overboard, but they’ve got a certain rational behind that.
Basically, they’ve come to the conclusion that without a grass roots men’s movement that is willing to be as radically fervent as the feminists were, they won’t be able to undo the damage that has been caused. Whether they are correct or not, or whether their cure would be worse than the disease, is something that remains to be seen I guess.
Reminds me of my comment to a friend about the STIMULUS package - how it was a lot like masturbation. Makes one feel good for a short time, but doesn’t accomplish anything and you just feel a big let-down afterwards.
And he added “Yeah - and it just makes a big mess of everything.” LOL!
No doubt I'm always looking for the perfect conservative candidate. But voters can only choose between the people who run. If there's only one conservative in the race what is one to do?
And as for masturbation, I do appreciate that Dems have decided to run on the Pro-Masturbation platform. It shows they've finally moved on from their 2008 platform: The Circle Jerk.
.... whorled peas...
and they can take them themselves in hand and pull themselves together.
Why in the world would you?
So let's see. The choices are a female who you are claiming would let you pleasure yourself but would at least hand you a tissue. The Marxist Coons who would bend you over and tell you to just relax and enjoy it because it will happen often. Then there's Castle who would slip you a date rape drug then bend you over when you're passed out. Oh, and then blame it on O'Donnell when you woke up.
I masturbate and I contributed to O’Donnell.
If she wins, I’ll stop masturbating in her honor — for one day.
Anyone remember the uproar following Jocelyn Elders comments on the topic of masturbation??????????
I honestly could not care less about her views on masturbation. Why do they have any relevance? What is she going to do, introduce a bill to ban it?
She is a vote against the Omaba agenda. Coons is a vote for it. That is all that matters.
