Taking the Santa Clara County, Calif. Happy Meal toy ban to the national level, a radical consumer activist group is threatening to sue McDonald’s if it continues to include toys in kids meals.
“McDonald’s is the stranger in the playground handing out candy to children,” said Center for Science in the Public Interest’s (CSPI) litigation director Stephen Gardner. “McDonald’s use of toys undercuts parental authority and exploits young children’s developmental immaturity—all this to induce children to prefer foods that may harm their health. It’s a creepy and predatory practice that warrants an injunction.”
Gardner couldn’t be more wrong in his tasteless attempt to equate McDonald’s with pedophiles. There are no “strangers” handing out Happy Meals to kids on the playground or at any McDonald’s franchise across the nation. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and legal guardians are making conscious decisions to purchase Happy Meals for their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews ...

Always winter, never Christmas for the libs.
We were usually never allowed sugar cereal but on one trip we got to take along a box of Fruity Pebbles with a ‘Ghostly Grabber’ (glow-in-the-dark ladder-type forceps) inside. I was on pins and needles awaiting a big bowl of Pebbles and the prize inside the next morning.
Another kid from another family decided he would help himself to both.
I was only 8 or 9 but I think I became a conservative at that moment as I watched some chancer help himself to whatever he wanted without so much as a please or a thank you.
I wonder how many of those activists are going to bother protesting at Starbucks over the child’s size hot chocolate and the 300 calories they contain...

I love sugary cerals, even as an adult. I do a lot of cycling, weight lifting, snowboarding, hockey, lacrosse, BMXing, mountain biking and martial arts and I can’t get enough carbs to save my life. Whenever before I have a long 20 mile bike ride from my house to the future Mrs. N*SC’s house, I’m always eating a loaf of bread’s worth of PB and J and I’m always hungry after the ride. And that’s BEFORE taekwondo practice. After practice, I’m bushed, except when I eat another box of sugary ceral before class for the ride home. Whenever I have to do an extra long bike ride before I lift weights or when I play a pickup game of hockey, I always make sure to eat a box of generic Froot Loops with soy milk and a jar of peanut butter for protein. That way, I never get hungry until after my workout or game.

I have dealt with McDonalds. They have their act together. They will blow this one out of the water.
There’s another group that wants Ronald McDonald done away with as well. I hope they intend to fund and operate all the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSES around the world.
They are very successful. You never see an empty McDonalds or one for sale.
Anyone who would equate MacDonalds Happy Meals with pedophilia is mentally ill. This is the sort of wild hyperbolic ranting that we have come to associate with the “progressives”. People should recognize that the use of this sort of demonization is a tool of psychotics who seek totalitarian power. These people may be crazy and deluded, but they are also very dangerous. This supposed scientific group comes out with these crazy rants regularly. They are truly deranged.
I do not have much money but why is it that liberals always seem to have an endless supply of cash and lawyers to destroy America?
Why can’t we find some group with lawyers, somewhere, to sue CPSI into the ground and put them out of business?
We have to fight fire with fire because just resting on morals alone will get us all killed or placed into servitude.
