Ping of interest.

Shrewd move? She isn’t exactly liked in California... hmmm...

If this was her plan, this is Ender Wiggin level strategy.

It is because Carly Fiorina looks and talks just like the kind of nut-flake job liberal that those stupid Californians would elect. As a so-called Republican she is a train wreck in the mode of Specter, Snowe and that other ditz Senator. As a business woman, she is a train-wreck; just ask former and current HP employees. If she is elected, the designation will be ‘R’ after her name, but her votes will side with Commander Zer0.

“she sided with Fiorina (who was an economic advisor to McCain during his presidential campaign. That really worked out well, didn’t it?)”

Can you say the Fiorina, McCain, Palin backed...”TARP”????

One of the things that makes me consider someone a leader, at least for me, is that I don't find it difficult to go along with them when their opinion or decision differs from what mine is or was. This is one of those cases. Something deep down inside of me trusts Sarah Palin. And something makes her a leader in my humble opinion.

For me it's a long list of things, each with its own score. I add them all up and if the total is high enough to suit me then I will support that person. Right now Sarah Palin is way ahead of going negative.

This doesn't mean I won't change my mind and my opinion of her. I have a long history of changing horses, sometimes according to my Mom, in the middle of the stream.

Election day 2012 is a long way off, almost two eternities when it comes to politics. I am content to watch it roll along for the next two years or so and make a decision when I have more to go on.

Meanwhile, she's my man!

Sarah Palin must go . . . To the White House!

I've still got high hopes for Palin, but her endorsement of Fiorina means nothing to me. I'm voting for DeVore.

Political endorsements in general should be laughed at. Educated voters should study the issues and candidates and make up their own minds - anyone who waits for some politician to give them instructions on who to support is just volunteering to be chum for the sharks.

I will be voting for DeVore in the primary. And I do not support Palin for President. I like her views, but I do not like the fact that she has quit every elective office she has held rather than sticking it out until the end of the term.

But having said that, I do understand her strategy. She is endorsing an entire slate of candidates that she believes can win. If she endorses say 50 candidates for office and 47 or 48 of them win, it will create the perception that it was her endorsement that made the difference, thus strengthening her chances of gaining the nomination in 2012.

Her interest is not in California. Her interest is not in conservatism. Her interest is in winning. It is true that to be able to make a difference, one must first win the office. But in my humble opinion, one must also show a little principle here and there. Endorsing Fiorina does the opposite.

I think Palin is bright enough to "tap" the conservative market. She says the right words and people pay her. Many people are truly wanting someone to stand up for America. Palin will speak well but acts at variance to her expressed views. Cynical but probably true.

Palin has never thought in the same box as you... or me. Not surprising. Alaskans are very much individualists and always will be.

Has anyone thought to ASK her why?

I very much believe she’d tell you, and do so honestly. Speculation seem like such a loser sport, you know.

One last comment. Palin’s willing to go out on a limb and actually endorse, not waiting for the rest of the world to choose sides. That’s a risky move politically. You’re not always going to find yourself on the most popular side. You’re not always going to be “right” either. In this case, score = ‘courage, 1’,’being right, 0’ perhaps. Then again, the cynic in me says that Palin’s just doing what she views as the right thing - DeVore’s been criticised for being an inept campaigner and manager - that could be a worse sin in some eyes than being ideologically impure. Whatcha’ gonna’ do? Throw Palin under the bus?

It's about winnability. That's it?

And about an endorsement that will help in the Presidential primary in 2012. If Devore loses, his endorsement won't help much in 2012. If Fiorina wins, hers will, at least in the primary, maybe in the general. Palin seems to have decided that Devore could not win. She should have been helping him all along, and she should not have thrown in the towel too early, either. If he still wasn't cutting it, a week or so before the election, she could have had influence with him to get him to throw his support to Fiorina to prevent a Campbell win.

If she had been active for Devore, I bet his numbers would be different. It is nice that they are climbing now, I hope they can keep going. Rush ought to weigh in on his behalf, he has been pretty vocal about the need to elect conservatives. Levin already endorsed him. Palin made a mistake on this one.

Palin endorsement of Fiorina - you buying it?

Was set to vote for DeVore. But Sarah's recent endorsement flipped my vote.

There is a problem in the argument that she supports the candidate with the biggest chances of winning. This implies that Palin’s endorsement is worthless and that she has no influence and merely goes with the flow. So Palin is clearly wrong in taking this position. She could have shown her mettle by influencing voters to vote for DeVore and delivering a victory for conservatives.

I’m fed up with Sarah Palin. It was bound to happen on her famed glory train ride. She needs to step back out of the limelight for awhile as she has oversold her brand and she’s getting a bit goofy. Enough already!

We've been wondering why Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina over Chuck DeVore in the battle to unseat California's Leftist Queen Imbecile "Don't call me ma'am" Barbara Boxer.

I will give you a one word answer.

Feminism.

It's pretty evident to me that Sarah is a lot more into the "I am Woman Hear Me Roar" stuff than people realize.

I still like her a lot, but this does bother me. I dont like giving anyone brownie points because of their chromosomes.
