It's always nice to go away. You get to take stock of what you've been doing and make promises to yourself that this time -- for real -- you're going to eat right, exercise, cut back on the martinis (ahem) and focus on the important stuff. And then you come home to a story so delicious that you can't resist putting off the important stuff for a little while longer.
I'm talking about the utterly ridiculous law that would allow Hawaiian state officials to ignore repeated requests for President Obama's birth certificate. That the Aloha State felt compelled to do this shows how it has been inundated with requests from folks out there who lack the ability to focus on what really matters. Come on, people! Obama was born in the United States. His mother was American, to boot. Get over it.
The Los Angeles Times blog, Top of the Ticket, does a great service by highlighting this news. It reprints in glorious color Obama's Certificate of Live Birth. The post also notes that twice since 2008, the state's health director has publicly vouched for the existence and the authenticity of the actual birth certificate.(continued)

In the fall of 2008, I was one of those who heard Leo Donofrio and Orly Taitz say, "Even if he was born in Hawaii, or on the steps of The Capitol, his father was never a citizen and he is Constitutionally ineligible for the presidency." I thought "can that be true," and began to read. I wondered why the machine behind Obama would put up a clearly ineligible candidate? The answer is in the Capehart article, and in many of the notes in Free Republic, sincere or not; far more don't understand the meaning natural born citizenship than do. That is all the regime needs. They assessed the impotence of our courts, as admitted to by Justice Thomas several weeks ago, and figured that ignorance and greed - the bankers and corporated executives they have bought off with our money - would insure that too few citizens to matter would know or care that we were being pillaged by an unconstitutional con man in the White House - politics as usual.
It was my experience that Wash Post did not accept new members. It is impossible to troubleshoot their blog scripts but entirely possible that, like the Post itself, they are not open to contrary views. (Their scripts never accepted passwords, even ones they generated and mailed.) The presumption by someone paid to be an expert of sorts on presidential eligibility that citizenship is sufficient for presidential eligibility is sadly indicative of the caliber of many political writers. Ignorance of our Constitution is why we are experiencing a soft coup. Our populace does not understand the protections built into our legal foundation by the framers of the Constitution. The press, which has benefited enormously from Constitutional guarantees is committing suicide by its complicity in promulgating patently false information.
Four chief justices of the supreme court have confirmed as clarifying statements in decisions the definition never contravened in the court, though attempts to amend Article II continued through 2005 (one more effort was initiated by Barney Frank after the Orrin Hatch amendment proposal in 2003): A natural born citizen is born in the country of citizen parents.
If any reader can become a member of the Wash. Post group, it would be a good idea to explain the Constitution in simple terms. The birth certificate issue is intentional misdirection. Most people have never read the Constitution, but as people's fear spurs them to pay more attention, they will consider alternatives to the propaganda being skillfully delivered, the more so because they can still find supreme court cases on the Internet, read the words of Madison, Jay, Marshall, Franklin, and on and on.
It has long been my opinion that the military will have to be the final guardian of the Constitution. They will face blatantly partisan orders such as shooting down Israeli fighters responding to Iranian or Syrian attack, or attempting to take out Iran's nuclear weapon facilities. Soldiers aren't facing the choice of keeping quiet, or losing comfortable livings with generous benefits. The lives of our military are subject to the whim of a black nationalist, socialist, with a fictional past (the fiction having been created by domestic terrorist and excellent writer Bill Ayers) who may or may not be a citizen and is absolutely not a natural born citizen - a man who could never come close to being granted even a confidential security clearance. Every soldier knows that at on any given day he or she may say goodby to his family for the last time, following the orders of a man who believes that his political power trumps esprit, trust, protection of a nation to which he has no allegiance and, other than his wife and daughters, almost no living close relatives. I like to think that were I still on active duty, I would do what Dr. Lakin has done, but I also know Dr. Lakin won't be the last.
Union and government leaders are trying hard not to face the reality that their incomes are anything but guaranteed when a government faces bankruptcy. It happened to the USSR, and may be the only way out of the mess we are in. The Washington Post is all but irrelevant anyway, but we should not give up trying to teach the lessons of millenia applied to the creation of a revolutionary form of government based upon laws and not royal entitlement. Those in power now, largely people who have never succeeded in capitalistic society, will fail, but they will destroy the lives and livelihood of countless hardworking citizens as they pursue their plan of a socialist Utopia.

There are (3) types of US Citizen Nationality
Type-1) Native born citizenship. Anyone born on US Soil, including nationals, and that are legally recognized by statute are to be a US citizen FROM birth.
Type-2) Naturalized citizenship. Is an “acquisition of citizenship” by legal petition... for those who are foreign born or not legally recognized by statute to be a citizen or national FROM birth. And upon lawful completion of the application & requisites for US Naturalization the applicant is administered the oath of allegiance thus becoming a US citizen.
1 & 2 are pursuant to.... and the ONLY (2) types of US Nationality recognized by the 14th Amendment.

The 14th amendment: “...All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
The 14th addresses ONLY Native(Type 1) & Naturalized(Type 2) citizenship NOT Natural Born.
Type-3) Natural Born citizenship:
Any person born on US soil pursuant to the (Type-1) Native born requirements above... AND IN ADDITION... BOTH parents MUST also be US Citizens ( Type-1 or 2) and are WITHOUT allegiance to any other Country or Nation-body (Having no dual citizenship).
Again... A “Natural Born” citizen is both a US Citizen by virtue of Type-1 nationality (US Code http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/usc_sup_01_8_10_12_20_III.html ) pursuant to the 14th amendment... with the distinct qualification of being born to parents who are BOTH US Citizens/without-dual-allegiance.
A UNIQUE CLASS of US Citizens within the definition of US Nationality.
Obama was not born to (2) US Citizen Parents, or Nationals, on US Soil. His father was a British subject of Kenya, which Obama himself admitted in his book “Dreams of my Father”.

The only constitutional reference to “Natural Born” is within the qualification to be a US President. “Natural Born” is a specific burden that is required to be satisfied in order to qualify. Obama DOES NOT QUALIFY since his father was not a US Citizen but a British Subject!
