What’s Wrong With America, and How Can We Fix It?

The United States of America is undoubtedly the greatest country in the history of the world. However, it seems that many of us have abandoned the conservative principles upon which the foundations of this great country were laid.

In the midst of a depression, we have endeavored to preserve economic prosperity for our country and ourselves. Yet in doing so we have made great sacrifices to liberty. Have we forgotten that a republic cannot survive if the people do not have liberty? Have we forgotten that without liberty there is despotism, and under despotism there is no prosperity?

Have the states dissolve the federal gov’t. Then re-start with stronger limitations on fed power. That should do the trick.

What’s wrong with America?

Black illegitimacy rate: 70%

Hispanic illegitimacy rate: 50%

White illegitimacy rate: 25%

The inability to form a two-parent family is destroying the country.

Single women with children drive the welfare state. The government is the daddy.

During the day, the children are dumped into the government schools where they are indoctrinated into a hard-core Left curriculum.

These are the core Obama constiuents. The Left needs a poverty-wracked mascot class to hold up like a bloody shirt and justify a massive statist government.

The single women, by and large, are unable to properly raise their children, so the Left uses this condition to grow a giant nanny state that intrudes and controls every aspect of life.

Very simple: starve the monkeys. And survive the fire and blood necessary to do that. Because they'll come for in need and hatred and resentment once it dawns on the monkey collective multitude that there will be no more pellets dropping from the feeder.

Yes it took 52 years to make it legal. It was ruled illegal (unconstitutional) in many cases from 1861 to 1913. Progresives or Populists kept trying various income tax without apportionment schemes and were always shot down.

Here is a simple small view of history (short easy reading FR post) on the subject:

What’s Wrong With America, and How Can We Fix It?

America has turned towards socialism is what is wrong with America. We can fix this by removing all these liberal scumsucking, money grubbing, pompous, arrogant idiots from Congress and stop voting for politicians as opposed to public servants.

It can't be fixed - the rot is too deep. We now live in a state controlled criminal syndicate rather than a representative republic.

But the good news is like the premise of DOA: the USA is already dead, it just doesn't know it. It crossed the Rubicon 1.5 years ago; since then, it's been all smoke & mirrors to keep the corpse alive.

It doesn't matter if DeathCare passes or not. There isn't going to be a legal entity in which to enforce that or any other federal mandates in a fairly short time.

Take a quick peek at the link info in post #26 here.

As to why it was made constitutional? Jealousy. The old excise system had a built-in bias against small farmers.

But they got the solution completely wrong just as Obamacare is completely wrong as a solution to Healthcare access and affordability problems.

The question I asked in my research is why if the FairTax is so awsomely superior and in conformance with the visions of the Founders, then why didn’t the Congress of 1913 pass a FairTax? The answer is spelled out in the latter half of the link in post #26.

Here's a clue: we live in a state sponsored criminal syndicate that has the force of law in which to enforce its mandates. Every one of the items on your list is absolutely antithetical to the crime syndicate's very survival. Who would voluntarily give up such power? No one.

Vote them out? Puleeze, see the first sentence above. You only think you live in a representative republic. Why was Hussein elected & 95% of Congress returned to office after TARP?

Follow the money. But here's the cool thing: the money is gone, the sponsors are BK. Right now, they're sucking the last of the life blood out of the USA, but within a very short period of time, this will run out as well.

When they are gone off to their extradition free islands, there's gonna be a hell of a party for everyone remaining. Who is gonna win this little shoot-fest? I would guess the ones with the guns.

We are heading into some very bad times. We are only at the tip of the iceberg with respect to the economic issues that will face this country and the world.

Helicopter Ben says that a zero percent reserve fractional banking system might be in the works.

China is supposedly riding the biggest bubble in history.

We have not seen anything yet. But, of course, maybe the world is too big to fail.

I have been hoarding guns, ammunition, silver and food for about 2 years now.

How many of you vote in your local school board elections?

Most people don't know the role of the local school boards. They exist to REPRESENT the TAXPAYERS.

Most of you and your friends and neighbors don't know that, so the school boards are loaded down with TEACHERS!!!

That's like the fox guarding the henhouse.

Learn this and educate your fellow citizens.

This alone can begin to turn this great nation around.

The bad news is that they may have already won, and we may be past the point of no return.

This is because they have seized control of the News Media and the Educational system over the years, and have successfully brainwashed much of the population.

This combined with the shifting demographics of the country make it difficult to see how they can be beaten.

We may get an occasional victory, but the long range trend is not looking good.

What’s Wrong With America,

Liberalism - almost every single problem can be traced to it.

and How Can We Fix It?

We can't without lots of bloodshed, They are too entrenched and demographics are not on our side. Even if we win big in 2010 and 2012 it will only be temporary. Starting 2016 and beyond places like Texas, they will get back control. The best we can do is pick a large area of the country and break off.

I like your goals, this is how I would achieve them. If I was like General James Mattoon Scott where I could take over right away, I would vacate the President, Vice President and the cabinet on down. Same thing with Congress and I would put the Joint Chiefs in charge of the country's Federal government. The States would go on as they are, but I would cut every Federal program except for Social Security and Medicare, too many people depend on them. However, there will be no new applicants, this will be a phase out over time, it will take 50 to 70 years at least. However, the States would be free to have their own programs as long as they pass Constitutional muster.

I would also have a panel of trusted advisors under me who understand the Constitution and would warn me if I become too much of a dictator to where it would hurt the country. I think we do need a strong man but one with such motives to restore the Republic and cut it loose when it is ready.

During this time, people need to be educated on what it means to be an American, to assume responsibility for one self and unless one cannot take care of themselves for a bona fide medical reason, they will have to make their own way in life. There will be people who would still prefer socialism, well, they can either go to Europe or if we break apart, to "Blue America."

Also, I would have a truth commission for those we've kicked out. Their job is to determine if any of their actions, from the former President on down to the Congressmen, is to see if they have committed any acts of treason, sedition or other crimes against the Constitution or in general. Upon conviction, the punishment would range from loss of benefits to probation up to imprisonment.

Even if innocent, all former people who have held federal political office will be barred from holding any elected political position and not be able to be appointed to a political position. If they are innocent, let them enjoy private life and their pensions.

It is tough to set a time table, but maybe by 2016 or 2020, call for new elections to fill the Presidency to Congress and when they take office, I'd step down, the Joint Chiefs would go back to their original role and we go from there.
