Redding, CA - Speaking at a logging conference in northern California tonight, Sarah Palin ripped studies supporting global-warming theories as a “bunch of snake oil science.”
The former Alaska governor touted her climate-change-doubter credentials at the event—from which media were barred, though the AP procured a $74 ticket for its reporter—noting her attempts to declaw federal action to characterize the polar bear as an endangered species.
That’s fine but it’s over and past. I guess I just didn’t peg Cheney as that kind of a gay booster.
“She said in the VP debate in 2008 that GW was probably cyclical but that climates do change naturally, all she did was have a study on climate change in the past”
but she also said she was in favor of a cap on carbon emissions.
So does this mean she is still backing McInsane in Arizona?
Does this mean she will back Charlie Crist in Florida?
Cheney’s daughter is gay. You really didn’t know? Edwards and Kerry even went so far as to pointedly mention it during their debates. Cheney was NOT amused.
It wouldn’t have been a surprise. It’s not been kept a secret.
Well yeah I did not know about the gay daughter. I didn’t know Cheney had bent so far as to say that (but for Bush) he’d advocate not just civil unions but the whole farking redefinition of “marriage.” This would be worse than what Bummer has given us.
I mean I did know about the gay daughter.
While a hawk on defense and a fiscal conservative, Dick Cheney never has been that much of a social conservative, which is why he is backing Hutchison (the most liberal candidate) in Texas.
Back in 2007 she said that she was interested in the concept of GW, but still questioned man-made GW, she in essence had no clear information at the time.
Fast forward to 2008, John McCain paltform was all about Cap-n-tax, just a little less harsher if one could called that of Obama’s....she was only truly allowed to differ on drilling on ANWAR...we already discussed in the previous post how many VP candidate or even cabinet members have to accept the head honcho’s position even if they disagree with them......BTW if Palin had went off script on those things then the Palin hating staff like Nicole Wallace or Scmdits would have been screaming...
Redding is red neck...they even have Fox News on at the local post office..the line waiting are all nodding their heads and going “uh uh yes”
Is that statement criticism or are you just being sarcastic
her response did seem forced:
IFILL: We do need to keep within our two minutes. But I just wanted to ask you, do you support capping carbon emissions?
PALIN: I do. I do.
that’s it. But it is hard to be VP, especially for someone like Mccain.
Words of hope to my weary ears. There may yet be hope for my beloved home state of California.
Don't hang Sarah for the rest of her natural life for things she was forced to say on the campaign trail in support of McCain.
Don't forget that she was also new to the national spotlight, and the biggest damn stage on planet earth. Any one of us would probably have made some mis-statements and gaffes, facing the pressure that she did at that time.
