"In 1961, if a person was born in Hawaii but not attended by a physician or midwife, then all that was required was that one of the parents send in a birth certificate to be filed. The birth certificate could be filed by mail. There appears to have been no requirement for the parent to actually physically appear before “the local registrar of the district.” It would have been very easy for a relative to forge an absent parent’s signature to a form and mail it in. In addition, if a claim was made that “neither parent of the newborn child whose birth is unattended as above provided is able to prepare a birth certificate, the local registrar shall secure the necessary information from any person having knowledge of the birth and prepare and file the certificate.” (Section 57-8&9) I asked the Dept of Health what they currently ask for (in 2008) to back up a parent’s claim that a child was born in Hawaii. I was told that all they required was a proof of residence in Hawaii (e.g. a driver’s license [We know from interviews with her friends on Mercer Island in Washington State that Ann Dunham had acquired a driver’s license by the summer of 1961 at the age of 17] or telephone bill) and pre-natal (statement or report that a woman was pregnant) and post-natal (statement or report that a new-born baby has been examined) certification by a physician. I am beginning to wonder if suing Factcheck.org might be a better idea. Forcing them to prove that “FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate.”
Sadly the judiciary in this country is corrupt along with most of the legistaltive and exec branches.

These are the words of the head of the Hawaii Dept of Vital Statistics in 2008.
Every citizen of the United States, every voter in a presidential election, has a “tangible interest in the vital record.” Obama did not run to be governor of Hawaii, nor to hold any other office within that state. He ran for an office that has to do with every citizen of every state.
For the state of Hawaii to withhold that particular document from the secretaries of the several states and/or the election officials who determine who may or may not be placed on ballots is wrong as it could result in subversion of the federal Constitution. This should be ruled on by the United States Supreme Court, since this is an interstate question, not merely a Hawaii state question.

I think I have read every story and article attributed to friends and classmates, and not once did I run across information that she had a driver's licence...
Now riddle me this: Every 'record' I have seen shows her birthdate as late November 1942. If she acquired a driver's licence when she was 17, wouldn't mean she did so in 1959?
338.17 is new definition from only a few years ago. 1982 IRCC.
This is another fake.
But the offset typed line HRS 338-17.8 indicates that it was later added to the birth certificate to reflect the current law.

Most women went to the hospital, but certainly not all. Obama’s mother was a hippie, for Pete’s sake, having a home birth would not have been surprising.
When will someone in the US Government realize this?

But the official Obama line is that he was born at Kapiolani Hospital. Sorta rules out being born in a Hawaiian shack.
It can't be real.
It hasn't been stamped by the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit.

Since you’ve kept abreast of every story and I have not, I will only add my thoughts to this birth certificate debate.
I suspect he was probably born in Hawaii, but I have no proof, just like I have no proof he graduated from Columbia or proof that he was the president of Harvard’s Law review, or that he’s brilliant.
I know nothing about this son of a Muslim-Kenyan Communist alcoholic, who has in his possession our nation’s top secrets and the suitcase that could blow-up the free world.
IT SEEMS TO ME THAT HE IS NOT ENTITLED TO ANY RIGHT TO PRIVACY!
His entire life should be an open book for every US citizen to see and examine.
He released one page from his personal physician that was permitted to serve as his medical records.
He has never released his college transcripts or even one essay.
All we have are his two “novels” about his life, that he claims to have written.
The gleeful news media just shoveled him into office and to date, that same news media are content to stonewall all investigations into his past.
I could go on about mysteries of his Indonesia years -— the names changes and adoption -— his re-entry into the US -— what passport was used to travel to Japan with his mother etc.
We have a complete unknown in the White House and we deserve answers to every question.
