TEL AVIV – Websites should be obliged to remove "false rumors" while libel laws should be altered to make it easier to sue for spreading such "rumors," argued Cass Sunstein, Obama's regulatory czar.
In his recently released book, "On Rumors," Sunstein specifically cited as a primary example of "absurd" and "hateful" remarks, reports by "right-wing websites" alleging an association between President Obama and Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers.
He also singled out radio talker Sean Hannity for "attacking" Obama regarding the president's "alleged associations."
Ayers became a name in last year's presidential campaign when it was disclosed the radical worked closely with Obama for years. Obama also was said to have launched his political career at a 1995 fundraiser in Ayers' apartment.

Does anyone suppose that implies support for full and public investigation of such rumors to determine if they are false or not?

Wait ... is Sunstein referring to that lie about 0bama knowing Ayres well, the one Powell and the rest of the left crowd decried, claimed Ayers was "just a guy in the neighborhood"? The one that Ayers himself straightened out after the election, when he admitted that he and 0bama are friends?? THOSE absurd and hateful remarks??
Fine. Bring a law suit, ask a judge to order it. There is a process ya know.

O served on a board with Ayers, and launched his political career at a fundraiser at Ayers’ house. Those are objective relationships between the two.

So now it might not be true. Now it is questionable. No one is sure.
How frustrating it must be for the modern American left, that they can’t bring political opponents to trial on something like the Soviet Unions ‘Article 58.’ These people are evil, and it’s frightening to me that so few people in our country are able to put the behavior of these monsters into any historical context.
