American Thinker has a piece about Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein's new book, On Rumors: How Falsehoods Spread, Why We Believe Them, What Can Be Done.
The premise of the book, it seems, is that there must be "standards and ground rules" for the Internet era. American Thinker pulled this section from the book:

Whew - talk about Soviet tactics. Let’s turn this country into something where no one dares speak to anyone else for fear they might be an informer.
Does he mean...the false rumors about global warming, perhaps?
I heard Cass Sunspot is a liberal Muslim woman
A person spreading rumors is simply someone sharing information they heard somewhere else.
What Cass Sunstein wants is for all of us walking around brooding but never sharing news stories and opinions with one another.
Cass Sunstein thinks like a hardcore bolshevik.
How much is my fine?
Gee! Cass is this a misleading and lying headline? Maybe it should be banned or the writer shot as Obama and Biden said that unemployement is only 3%

or the rumor that humans evolved from apes. or is it the other way around?
Can this be retroactive?
I prefer Life sentences in Max Security Prisons For Lying Politicians
Sounds like the KOS rumor about Sarah Palin pretending to be pregnant really upset him. I agree, I think they should pay.
Dude! Totalitarian tendencies. Thought crime.
I question his underlying assumption that it is a GOOD thing for people to have FAITH in politicians. He asserts that we don’t want people to lose faith, which assumes that it is good to have faith in politicians. NO. In my opinion it is bad, bad, bad to have faith in politicians. Faith is earned by them showing “good faith” and they have not done that for a long time. Faith as in blind faith or faith for the sake of faith is not where we want our citizens to be regarding politicians. We want them to be skeptical and demanding proof at all times. Faith is for religion not politics. They must realize the difference.
Thanks. I didn’t know that.
I heard that Cass Sunstein is a crazed commie who wets his pants.
Has anyone else heard that rumor? Just need to confirm it before putting it on a billboard.
Nah...probably just your everyday queer.
Obama, his minions and Congress are exempt.
I heard he has certain psychological...issues?
Like Dan Rather?
I take it the cost of this book of drivel will be part of the fines levied?
