If you’re capable of describing to me the definition of the word “teabagger” in specific terms, I’ll attempt to answer your inquiries on a case by case basis. But let it be known now that the likely answer to your question is that I love liberty more than I love comfort.
My Lib friendships are falling faster than an Acorn Ho at a Democratic convention. Anyone who is an ZerOWE(Acorn, Nazi P. Dirty Harry, etc) supporter is not taking their meds or seriously deranged.
I was supposed to have a “date” with a supposed “Conservative” who voted for Bam and is “open” to hearing all sides and supports the “person” rather than the “party”.(all air quotes) Oops, I forgot my keys in the car: be right back.
So out with the Lib friends...you don’t want to hang with people who are that stupid and out of touch with reality!
Family is a little tougher but they are expendable too.
You could try to talk about politics. It’s impossible for me. So I continue to alienate, annoy, and defend my core principles and pro American values. Whoo Hoo!

Keep pounding until they drop it, and then pound some more to make sure they don't do it again. Bring it up later. Be obnoxious about it. "Oh, yeah, you're the one who likes to make false accusations of racism. Made any lately?"
The reason you want to be persistent is that this is largely a hit-and-run tactic that doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Make them pay for using it. If they start to avoid you, so much the better.
If you haven’t been called a racists at least once in the last decade for standing up for your Constitutional rights or making legit criticisms of some non-race related government policy, then you’re not living in America.
Ask them to put you up for adoption. Its the only way.
My response is always, no I love my fellow man, but I am no longer willing to accept the fact that the majority is under-represented so that 13.5% of the population can control 100% of the national dialogue.
Once you do that, they are merely another person in this world who has their head stuck up their butt.
I tried it, and a weight has been lifted off of me. Plus, I moved far away to an awesome state that does not put up with a lot of liberal nonsense, so the random man on the street tends to have the same common sense as me.
The one thought in the back of my bitter mind is "If something bad happens in California like an earthquake, my family is not coming to stay with me. They are on their own."
Bitter and hateful? Maybe, but as an adult I have a responsibility to surround my immediatefamily with folks I can count on in a bind (like a post-hurricane period when defending the homestead takes on a higher importance) and who share common values. Many in my family have proven themselves to be moonbats with whom I have nothing in common. Their irrational fear and hatred of guns is one glaring example, plus the long-held belief in the gay and leftist communities that Ronald Reagan is partially to blame for the current AIDS crisis.
That’s how I deal with it - I don’t bother w/them. Otherwise, I’d be handing over my sanity and peace for grief - I simply won’t allow it. Same reason I don’t listen to the lame stream media.
Anyone calls me a “teabagger” gets the, “So why are you so obsessed with homoerotic activity? Are you soliciting teabagging? What kind of perv are you?” response.

Just tell them the old true statement regarding debate. Whoever resorts to name calling first, has lost the debate. Intellectually, they’re either lazy, or they’ve hit their limit. Either way, you win.
