Palin: Crazy? or Crazy Like a Fox
Cross Action News ^ | 7-6-09 | Gregory Gethard

Is she crazy? Or is she crazy like a fox? That’s the question being asked of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin after her stunning announcement last Friday that she will resign as Alaska’s governor later this month.

From the left and the right, the puzzlement is the same: Why has Palin decided to leave her office so abruptly? Republican strategist Ed Rollins, noting that “everyone is shocked” by Palin’s decision, asserts that “everyone is going to assume there’s another story. You don’t just quit with a year and a half to go.” National Democrats, meanwhile, are licking their chops at Palin’s announcement, with some suggesting that she “simply can’t handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down.”

Palin: Crazy? or Crazy Like a Fox

She's definitely one or the other. Only time will tell which.

Now, instead of fighting frivolous ethics lawsuits 24/7 that had already cost her $500,000 of her own money, she gets to be paid by the state-run media to appear on TV 24/7 for the next 18 months until she files as a candidate for the US Presidency.

She sure is crazy.

Maybe she’s going to be a community organizer and then run against O in ‘12 as an equally qualified candidate.

Sarah is obviously familiar with Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

Freedom loving Americans are at war with those of the political class that have taken an oath to subvert and destroy the Constitution whether pubbie or rat. The shooting war hasn’t started - yet.

Sarah is a freedom loving American. She just did something that caught our enemies completely off guard and now she has placed herself in a position where she is stronger than before and it scares the shiite out of them.

Just look at how much press she has generated in the last 3 days....

um hua.. I say she is a genius. Not only that, I can almost hear it now,
“I am not one of those politicians who go off and campaign, ignore the job I was hired to do and go off and do my own thing anyway. I had the moral standards to leave first, then pursue my own goals. I was hired by the people of Alaska, once I accomplished my goals, which I did, it was time for me to move forward. I did the honest thing for Alaskans in handing over the reins of power there to the Lt. Governor. Now I am ethically free to pursue my career with out leaving Alaska in the lurch, I care too much about her and her people to have done that. It would have been unethical.”

Blamo. End of argument.

That is a reasonable position.

Maybe she just loves her family and is tired of this? Maybe she’ll take a look at 2012. I don’t see justification for much more of an explanation than that.

I, for one, am terribly disappointed.

If she had more than a year left on her term, why quit now?

Well, perhaps she may have stepped down because she’s needs to raise a lot of money for herself? You know, to pay all those legal bills.

The MSM will still criticize her, but now it’s got a true reason to do so.

Her action does give Democrats a loaded gun: They will charge that she hasn’t got what it takes for high office because she quit in Alaska.

Hey, didn`t Obama and the MSM all agree that just running for President for 2 years, was political experience??

“simply can’t handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed..."

Ohhhh, now I get it! That's the reason the left can't stop talking about her. Because she's not popular anymore.

Ed Rollins, noting that “everyone is shocked”

I'm not. And until I am, not everyone is. So back off, turkey-lips.

What is hard for me to fathom is why dozens of baseless ethics investigations, which anyone with legal standing can file, does not register with all the palpitating, perplexed head-scratchers out there? Duh and double-duh! It has been political sabotage of the first order, and she's just supposed to sit there in the barrel and take it? There's no stopping those charges as long as she's gov, and there's only more of the same as far as the eye can see. How about the fact that the MSM, the popular culture, the university know-it-alls all pant breathlessly about the stupid whisper campaigns? How about the fact that they are all still doing it today?

The solution, get out of the barrel! Don't let them define you, isolate you, freeze you and destroy you, alinsky-style.

Why not accept her explanation as to why she was leaving? I understand every word she said, it was very clear to me.

People that did not understand what she was saying, simply never listened.
