Peretz’s forthcoming article “Narrative Dissonance” (dated July 1) is already available on-line. In it he deconstructs Obama’s Cairo speech and addresses the president’s dangerous historical ignorance of Israel-Palestine. It’s a long article, but well worth reading for those wanting to hear from a staunch liberal who is seeing big cracks in the walls of the new Camelot.
The fallout from Obama’s Cairo speech has been succeeded this week by comments made by his 20-year mentor Jeremiah Wright, who uttered the phrase “them Jews.” Wright subsequently explained he meant to say “them Zionists.” (which is about absurd an excuse as David Letterman explaining he didn’t mean to joke about the rape of Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter; he meant ths 18-year-old daughter.) Ethel Fenig at the American Thinker blog comments on the Wright comments and his non-apology apology.
I sincerely hope more of my liberal-Democrat friends wake up before 2012 to realize the president they voted for is no friend of theirs.

I can't wait to see what the AARP says about their golden boy now that he's talking about starving Medicare and rationing "healthcare" to the elderly so he can pay for his socialized one-size-fits-all scheme.
Obama made it perfectly clear who he was, what he thought, and what he intended to do. Now, he didn’t say those revealing things during campaign speeches, but it was there for anyone with the slightest curiosity to find.
But, these idiots didn’t bother, and went out and happily voted for the most anti-semetic President in American history. Enjoy.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Additionally there are probably some who know PFL BO’s positions but didn’t believe they were his “real positions”. You know “I am a social liberal but a fiscal conservative”...wink, wink.

I know someone who says this about them self and actually believes it sounds good. All it means is they believe the government should do everything for everyone but they want someone else to be taxed to pay for it.

To them it is a conventional political wisdom which, roughly translated, means:
They may be slowly starting to realize that Obama's pro-Islam attitude may serve as a green light to Muslims (and anti-Semites in general) in the US to attack Jews.
NY Jews would vote for Hitler if he had a D next to his name.
