Some people are surprised at how the British has reacted to Israel over the years. After all it was Great Britain that promised the opportunity for a Jewish state with the Balfour Declaration. But in the ninety years since the Balfour Declaration Britain has gone out of its way to stall or block the Jewish people's desire for a secure, peaceful, Israel.
One of the most shameful periods in recent British history happened immediately after the Holocaust. Not for the first time (or the last), the UK bowed to Arab pressure by limiting the number of Jews that could enter the Holy Land. Jews their lives and families decimated by the Holocaust tried to sneak their way past the racist British blockade. Those who were capture where thrown into "detention" camps in Cyprus.
Then there was the famous case of the Exodus the boat full of heroic Jewish Refugees captured by the British who went on a hunger strike, rather than allow the British to force them to relive the horrors they just escaped. These Holocaust survivors were placed on an 100 year old slave ship by the British and threatened with a return to Germany. They also routed a sister ship to the Exodus 1949 into the Black Sea where it was sunk by the Russians killing all 900+people aboard.

Actually the passengers of the SS Exodus were returned to Germany and housed in a former concentration camp. Rumors that the camp was run by a German are untrue. Only the staff were German. Another refusal of the Brits to honor their longstanding legal obligantion to settle Jews in the Jewish Homeland.

The USA has policies in place to protect the Jewish people, but with the big ZERO in office, many (such as myself) are concerned about our well-being of Israel, but the USA is in grave danger of another attack and/or losing sovereignty.
Moreover, if we do not continue to protect and work with Israel, G-d's hand of protection will be completely removed from this country. Please, "PRAY FOR THE USA & ISRAEL".

Yes. If I recall my UK history, Labor was in control from the sacking of Winston Churchill right after the war, up until the 1980s with Maggie Thatcher. I’m not sure though the Tories in the UK are any less latently anti-Semitic than Labor, however...

Well, yes, if by that you mean, fail to bow down and do whatever Israel wants/says/does without a whimper, or have the effrontery to actually criticise them in some way...
Tories did have a couple of short terms in office between 1946 and the Thatcher years.
He was, although Tory/Conservative Whig/Liberal and so on was still being formulated at that time. Neither meant exactly what it does today.
Disraeli was born to a Jewish family that had immigrated to Britain from Spain. However, his father had a row with the Rabbi of the local synagogue after Benjamin was born and took him to be christened in the local Anglican church instead (it must have been one HELL of a row!) So culturally he may have been Jewish, but strictly speaking, he wasn’t in the religous sense.
OK well that is unsubstantiated claim. Britain gave the Balfour declaration. Britain allowed Jewish immigration into Palestine. Britain supplied Israel with military equipment - most notably the Centurion tank, which was a major factor in Israel winning the Yom Kippur war. Stall or block the Jewish peoples desire? The author is implying there is some department in the inner recesses of Whitehall dedicated to frustrating the poor Jews! Well, friend, let me tell you we got better things to do than that. For "stall and block the Jewish peoples desire" read "fail to do absolutely everything they want and demand at all times".

Well that would be because Britain ruled Palestine under a UN mandate, and the native population were not happy about having a surge of foreigners (because most of these Jews came from mainland Europe - they hadn't been born in the Holy Lands) come into the land. There was a lot of protests and rioting and bloodshed and Britain decided to limit the rate of immigration to try and stop that. Are people on these boards saying that the government of a nation does not have the right to control immigration?

For "racist" read "not doing what we want". It is no different from mexicans calling the US government racist when they threaten to throw out illegal immigrants.

Oh go away. Relive the horrors? They are implying they were going to be sent back to Dachau or wherever! Heroic refugees? Illegal immigrants. So they went on hunger strike? So what. That's their choice.

Threatened with a return to Germany - well that's where they had come from! 100 year old slave ship? Slave ship???? I gave up reading after this. This guy is just pushing out propoganda and playing on peoples emotions and feelings of remorse. Well, I am NOT buying into it. The Jews went through hell with the holocaust. They have suffered all through the centuries, but that does not make them immune to criticism here and now, and if they do something bad it is not anti-semitic to call them on it. "We've been so badly done to in the past" is not an excuse.
I would think he was a Messianic Jew.

Of course, I do not know his exact spiritual state. I would think it unlikely he was a messianic Jew however. Larger than life character that’s for sure.
The Conservatives were actually in power for most of the time between 1945 and 1979. They were in power for 13 solid years between 1951 and 1964 alone, wheras Labour never once at any point in its history won re-election as the incumbent governing party until 2001 under Blair.
As for Disraeli, he may have converted to Anglicanism early in his life, but he was always ferociously proud of his ethnicity. He responded to a dig at his Jewish ancestry from fellow MP Daniel O’Connel by remarking that whilst O’Connel’s ancestors were ‘brutal savages on an unknown island’ his were Priests at the Temple of Solomon.....
