Michelle Obama, who recently told the United Nations that Sesame Street is the "best thing I've done so far in The White House", is really enjoying her new life!
The Washington Post reports:
First lady Michelle Obama called her "current life" in the White House "a very blessed situation, because I have what most families don't have -- tons of support all around, not just my mother, but staff and administration. I have a chief of staff and a personal assistant, and everyone needs that."
"Everyone should have a chief of staff and a set of personal assistants," Obama said with a laugh as she spoke before a crowd of business executives meeting today during a "Corporate Voices for Working Families" conference at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington.
Along with the issues of community service and military families, Obama has said as first lady she wants to focus on the struggles of working families.
During her 10-minute speech, Obama advocated for sick leave for parents, flexible work hours for employees and on-site child care, which she said "is something that keeps many of us up at night....You're just wondering where are we going to put our children where we feel like that they're being safe, that they're safe and being loved. That will relieve many of the stresses that parents feel on the job throughout the day."
Must be nice for a woman who remembers as a kid growing on the south side of Chicago being ridiculed for trying to be educated and get good grades.
"I wanted an "A". I wanted to be smart. I wanted to be the person who had the right answer. And I didn't care if it was cool - 'cause I remember there were kids around my neighborhood who would say 'ooh - you talk funny. you talk - like a white girl.' I heard that growing up my whole life.
Snobbery is going to cost them in support.
Good thing Sarah Palin didn’t say something this stupid and out of touch. The press would have a field day with her.
Pure evil.
Something Stalin would say.
I can not imagine any other first lady (even Hillary -—I think) saying something like this. These people are a disgrace.
If “everyone” is going to have a chief of staff, and a personal assistant, who is going to fill those positions?
That’s right. Hillary was insincere, but she attempted to be gracious. I don’t think that ever occurs to Michelle — she’s just “Me, me, me, me, me!”
Gee, Michelle, maybe the same company that pays for your Chief of Staff and Personal Assistant can hire one for me as well.
This is going to end worse than JONESTOWN!
And, if the children have no bread at night, why...let them eat cake!
I agree with her! I’d like to have my own staff, too!
Everyone should have a set of 10 pound brass balls, specially fitted with electrical induction coils, but Meeshell seems to be hogging those up, too! ;-P
She doesn’t talk like a white girl IMO......and she’s stupid. A product of the bell curve and back alley bribery !
Rated on merit, ethics, work skills, ability ........I wouldn’t let her mow my lawn unsupervised.
This is going to end worse than JONESTOWN!

For the 0bama Kool-Aid drinkers........not us.
Well, getting a sweet deal to go to Princeton and lucrative no-show jobs wasnt enough to overcome her bitterness and anger about America but we finally found out what is. Giver her a tax-payer funded personal staff, gourmet chefs, fawning press treatment, and Wednesday night serenades by the glittering stars of music and she can finally be relaxed and happy. She has finally gotten what she deserves, you see.
So, who are her chief of staff and personal assistants’ chiefs of staff and personal assistants?
Let them wear Keds

For WORKING families... and we all laughed and laughed and laughed.
Bet she didn't hear it from "whitey".
