You were concerned about the iron content, I believe.
Fresh spinach is good too!
Right. This will be a good test for the amount of iron in my soil, eh?
I think it takes its iron from the air...
*NOT*
Soil, unless it’s completely depleted from never being fertilized, has all the nutrients plants need, including iron. And compost is ALWAYS good!
I don’t think so - their paths rarely crossed, and when they did, Wednesday was hostile. She’s just unhappy that there’s meat being cooked and she’s not getting any.
She didn’t like the cleaning today. It especially upsets her when we move furniture.
Pineapple sucks ALL the iron from soil...spinach is a lightweight.
:o]
Maybe Ash is going to dog you out...
And with that, I’m gone.
See y’all tomorrow!
Later, fan!
*HUG*
Have a good night Face.

Have a good night!
And her blankets have been washed recently. She must sense the change.
Perhaps she needs a restorative.
She got a bowl of dog food, and I’m sure there will be some snacks when supper is cleaned up. She seems to be happy that her blankets are clean.
Our Memorial Day's been busy.
Took #2 Son to participate in a parade with the Navy League Cadet Corps this morning at 8:30. Then, this afternoon at 12:30, took the whole family to an observance put on by the local veterans groups at the War Memorial in Pleasant Hill, CA. Local RAT State Senator spoke. I had trepidations, but he earned some respect from me by keeping his comments appropriate to the occasion, and doing a good job of it, I might add.
The Navy Sea Cadets provide Color Guard for the event, while the Leaguers put in Community Service passing out programs, and keeping the attendees stocked with cold bottled water.
The Firing Squad was provided by the Military History Preservation Group, which sent seven guys each dressed in an Army uniform from a different conflict; from the Civil War to Gulf War II. Firing twenty-one guns using weapons from all those different wars was pretty unique. And, of course, my boys were out there afterward scooping up any brass they could find.
Closing it out, #2 Son went around and collected business cards from several people, including the V.P. of the Military History Preservation Group, and -- egad! -- the keynote speaker: Rear Admiral, Russel Gorman, USN (Ret).
Who knows? Maybe he'll need an Academy Recommendation someday?
Mrs. HKMk23 has now left the premesis, and is baking cakes over at a friend's house, while all my children play -- nicely [I hope] -- with all of theirs.
Baby girl is at home with me, and sleeping. Ahhh, blessed peace!
It sounds like you’ve had an outstanding day! I’ve just put most of the Offspring to bed. Der Prinz is out with Bill and Tom. They’re supposed to be doing their swimming qualifications for Boy Scout camp, but how this is working in the middle of a thunder-and-lightning downpour is beyond me. Maybe the District set something up at an indoor facility!
Remaining kitteh keeps going out in the rain and coming back to say she hates it. All reptiles asleep.
One week, maybe, to the arrival of the Brother, so I’d better enjoy some (relative) quiet while I have it!
I've always thought the KJV rendered the notion of labor and delivery more accurately than any other document; the wording is such that it is the woman -- not the baby -- who is "delivered."
"...the days were accomplished that she should be delivered." -- Luke 2:6 KJV
The world of medicine has it exactly backwards.
I made it through the:
- A. Rain
- B. Traffic
- C. Mountains
- D. Wildlife
- E. All of the above
Interstate 70 runs all the way across the country. I only ride it as far as Breezewood, Pennsylvania.
That gets me a little over halfway to my destination.
While on 70, though, I go through one part of Maryland where you can probably see both neighboring states. It’s a little thin there.
Back from the festival. Much fun -- and appreciative of the Indian (Bollywood) dance teacher who asked the room for a round of applause for those who served, or are serving, to keep us all free. And she got it, too.
It's in Utah. The eastern end is similarly unimpressive.
Interstate 70 is one of the few Interstate Highways that has traffic signals on its mainline.
Seventy is different.
Highway 101 (US? CA?) in Santa Barbara has (or had) three lights going through town.
