Rudy Giuliani discusses attacks on Christianity by both Newsweek and President Obama.
Could anyone imagine if Newsweek had condemned Islam? Oh, right... that would never happen.

I would have voted for Rudy in a heartbeat. If he were in the primary by the time it got to NJ, I would have voted for him over McCain, Huckabee, and Romney.
The MSM has always hated him. His years as Mayor of NYC are still fresh in my mind. Remember the flak he caught for refusing the check from the Saudi Prince? He isn’t perfect, no one is, but damn I’d be thrilled if he were POTUS now. But, we’re stuck with a POTUS who hates America and Americans.
Rudy was the only candidate who had a chance at winning in ‘08. While we have to admit that he did not run a good campagn, it was the actions of certain factions of the GOP who despised him to the point of mocking his theatrical performances (and posting his image on RINO trading cards) that really cost him the nomination. If he runs in and wins the NY governor’s race, we may see him run again for POTUS in ‘12.
Rudy combines the worst statism of the American Left and European right.
I don’t think anyone could have beaten Obama (given the MSM spin, etc.) but he had the best shot of those in the race, imo. He ran a horrible campaign. And he’s hated by the dems/left/msm, etc. as well as by some in the GOP.
I’d like to see him as NY Governor.
Again, he is a greaseball urban politician from a Third-World majority (I live here) city who is not conservative in the American sense. Send this Fascist to Europe or Israel where he belongs.
He’s not from Long Island, and that’s but the first of your long litany of mis-statements.
How did it feel pulling the lever for BHO?
Let's get an American Conservative for the nomination, not a statist who shares not one principle with the founding fathers. In term of ideology, he is a foreigner.
Garden City, Hamptons... definitely Long Island!
What a crock! You said his "primary opposition" came from "single issue" voters. Now you are trying to say that his primary opposition came from voters who only opposed him on one, not several issues? And to support your contention you provide what? NADA! Zip!
B. A pseudocon is someone who professes to be a conservative, but whose myopic actions cause him or her to viciously denigrate viable GOP candidates (in the manner of the lunatic leftist fringe) and hand the election to BHO.
So, to criticize a Republican candidate during a primary for not holding conservative views (or Republican views, for that matter), is "myopic"? Quoting from Giuliani's record is "denigrating"? If Hillary hangs an (R) by her name, shall we all support her because "she can win" or because you think she is "better than Obama"?
Rudy was never a "viable" Republican candidate because he doesn't support the vast majority of the GOP platform! He would, however, be a "viable" Democrat candidate.
I thought you lived in NJ (as I do).
Look, I’m from Philly and from one of the few Conservative Republican families that lived there. My paternal side was heavily involved in politics from prior to the Great Depression. We were in the minority then and it’s worse now.
When Rizzo wanted to run against Goode, he tried to run as a republican in the republican primary. There was a huge campaign to get republicans to vote for Rizzo in the primary so he could run against Goode in the general. Many dems changed their registration so they could vote for Rizzo in the primary. My family didn’t vote for him. Hindsight being 20/20, Rizzo would have been far better than Goode. And, he would have had a shot at winning against Goode.
Rudy may be a greaseball political as you call him (and since my maternal side was also considered greaseballs or dagos and my paternal side was called harps, dirty irish, drunks, etc. I don’t give a damn about any of that) but I’d still rather have him as POTUS than what we have now. He doesn’t hate this Country. And, I still would have voted for him in the primary over McCain, Huckabee, and Romney.
I liked Duncan Hunter after learning about him from FR. He was my first choice. By the time Super Tuesday got here, we had McCain, Huckabee, and Romney. The Media and Dems wanted McCain and that’s what we got. I voted for him in the general because I couldn’t stomach Obama as POTUS and Palin being his VP made it much easier to cast that vote for him.
You don’t like Giuliani and that’s fine, imo. I still like him.
Rizzo was a whore to the building trade unions, and a key reason why Philly to this day is the WORST place to run a construction project.
LOL! Rizzo was a whore to ALL the Unions.
His brother, the former Fire Commissioner, was worse.
Garden City is nowhere near the Hamptons.
Duh!
But they are both in Long Island, where you said Rudy is not from.
He grew up in GC. He and Judi have their “summer home” in the Hamptons.
If it is cathartic for you to rationalize, then I won’t stand in your way. Pseudocons gave us McCain, who begat BHO. Rudy was our best shot; please don’t pull the liberal hypothetical game by invoking HRC as a republican.
Like it or not, Rudy would have governed conservatively. Wrap your head around that before picking sides in the next election.
If that’s the only part of my comment that bears even the slightest inaccuracy, then I stand vindicated. Besides, Long Islanders don’t really think of Garden City as part of LI, given that it is in Queens. Geographically LI, but not culturally.
Yeah... Just like ARnold has done in California! You folks are too much! LOL.
Wrap your head around that before picking sides in the next election.
Here is one for you: When conservatives say year after year, "I will not vote for that RINO," believe them! Moderates pushing said RINO onto the general election ballot will only ensure a Republican loss.
Rudy was not and is not a RINO. And pseudocons iced the cake on the loss, not supporters of Giuliani.
If you feel vindicated when you are 100% wrong, I don't know what to tell ya! Seek help, maybe? But feel free to keep digging.
Besides, Long Islanders dont really think of Garden City as part of LI, given that it is in Queens. Geographically LI, but not culturally.
Well, you go head out to Queens and have fun looking for Garden City. When you can't find it, feel free to head on over to Nassau.
I feel vindicated knowing that I supported the candidate most able to win in ‘08. Who was your candidate? I don’t think you’ve shared that yet.
