Yes, if you recall a heat wave in France a few years ago killed thousands of their elderly. No more medical expenses for them, so it’s definitely a “win” for the government’s social planners.

I have had that exact same feeling since he took office. Generate enough discontent and social upheaval to justify martial law, disarm the public, and rewrite the constitution to fit their socialist beliefs.
We got our tax credit today. It’s distributed over the entire year. So, every two weeks, we get an “extra” $31.
We already pay about $600/mo for heat.
