ha...between this, and all the new “sin” taxes the states will impose, all the low-income jerks that voted these idiots in are going to pay way more everything that they once believed they were going to get for free.

If McCain votes for C&T, he is toast in Arizona. 120 in the shade in the summer and that’s at night - but maybe that’s why his most recent home is in Sedona. It’s a lot cooler there.

Here’s a kicker, though...a lot of the electricity generated in AZ comes from the Salt River hydroelectric dam system and Palo Vere nuke plant. No carbon emitted, no carbon tax.

No, no, no... keep 'em there and continue to browbeat them and ensnare them at your place to protect the remainder of tax-paying citizens from their sinister, seductive sliming of our basically STILL great country!!!
Do not loose the surly bonds of your magnetic personality and spell-bind them with your pursuasive rhetoric, oh great ranter that you are!!!

I printed this out to hand to and discuss with Obamanut that may call at my house asking me to support Zeros budget. Also, I will demand to see a copy of their taxes Federal/California and property taxes paid this year and in 2008. If they havent paid any taxes, they will be asked to leave my property at once.Good idea- I've been wondering what to do about this-- remember, my city is 63 1/2% black ( and no, not all think Duh!1 is anything more than a cheap con man in a good suit, but you'll never hear their voices on TV, either. ) and I do have to get along with these folks.
My original idea was along the lines of "you do remember that the last well-known national leader to ask for this was Hitler, don't you?" but figured that wouldn't go over too well.
You idea is the best I've heard so far.

I have that printout in a glassine sheet protector on one side. On the front side in big bold font are the following ?'s. If I get yes answers to the questions below, I will flip the protector over and show them the data about the increase in our electric bills. Then I will ask them if that is a good thing in their thinking. Below are my four questions.
1. Did you pay taxes in 2007 and 2008? If your answer is yes, I want to see a copy of your tax return before we talk. If you didn't pay income taxes the past two years, go find someone else to talk to.
2. Did you pay property taxes the past two years? If you didn't, go find someone who didn't talk to.
3. Are you working now. If so, I want to see a current pay stub. If you don't have one go find another unemployed to talk to.
4. Last but not least, I want to see your California Driver's License. If you don't have one good bye!

It seems to me that members of Congress went totally ballistic over the AIG bonuses as a result of overwhelming constituent anger. I suspect the same would happen on this issue.

Back to iceboxes, root cellars, kerosene lanterns, candles, and smoke signals. There were some advantages to chipping that good old ice block to get ice for your Coke. Probably won't have ice houses what with all the CO2, CH4, H20 and BS101 around, though.
Going out to build my teepee in the back yard, Quien Sabe.

You are correct. He wants a revolution or a civil war - anything so he can declare martial law. Hope we are smarter than that.
