That is on my list of books to read, though, and I'm currently working through Atlas Shrugged.
I must respectfully decline. It’s not every day that one gets to witness the death of an entire nation. The Frierson house will hold a quiet wake for our great country that so many brave men and women have fought and died for. With a heavy heart we shall watch this travesty unfold in the safety of our home with tissues in one hand and barf bags in the other.
Just a FYI for everyone - an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged is in the works. Rumor is Angelina Jolie is the front-runner to play Dagny Taggart.
I don’t see it working, personally.

My dear wife and I are going out to a late breakfast at our favorite “joint” — and then taking in a matinee. Marlee will be top dog tomorrow, for sure !!! *S*
Interestingly, my brother called from Savannah last evening to chat, and stated that he and his bride were doing the same.
No TV for the next two days, at least. Maybe we will forsake the tube substantially longer -- out of basic self-preservation.
As an aside, I read Fountainhead the first time as a teenager, in the late 40’s. My grandmother and I had many a wonderful conversation over the masterpiece. What a gift to our Republic Ann Rynd’s philosophical dictum has been.
Thanks for the “heads up.” I have set my DVR as I think I will be on my way to support the deadbeats and lollygaggers tomorrow morning. It may snow here in Norfolk, so I may get to watch it real time.
I adore Gary Cooper and have probably seen all the movies he’s in that TCM offers. Bet he wouldn’t care much for what’s happening in the country now. I for one will be all in black tomorrow.
