There are few antiJews in the world such as Zbigniew Brzezinski who can speak from one side of their mouth, stating the obvious that Hamas "provoked" Israel into the current offensive and has "harassed" Israel with rockets and then almost immediately thereafter do a logical flip - toss in the proportional force argument along with a moral equivalence claim. ZB thinks that because Israel has done significant damage to Hamas "does that mean punishment has to be on that scale? 400 killed 1,400 wounded? (Scarborough asks: What would you recommend) I would recommend a process by which you limit such casualties and limit them very significantly." In other words, you Jews must not seek to deter those who want to kill you. Extend your necks like your ancestors did in the old days. more

I believe the man was saying that the Hamas rocket attacks had not killed people. This is what I was responding to.
Brzezinski has many times through the years displayed the kind of UN-loving, Israel-hating idiocy that is so typical of the left.
Just for one example, during the 2006 Lebanon crisis he came down strongly on the side of the terrorists, blaming Israel for all “collateral damage” and calling upon Israel to unilaterally disarm. Just as in the current crisis he thinks it’s no big deal that rockets are raining down on Israeli towns unless a lot more Jews are being killed (exactly how many rockets and how many dead Jews would be pushing the limits of indifference to you, Mr. Brzezinski?).
Oh, of course he doesn’t put it in exactly those words, but he did clearly blame Israel for responding to Hizbullah’s “provocations” — just as in the current crisis he blames Israel for fighting back against Hamastan.
Brzezinski and Jimmy Carter are joined at the hip (ideologically), and both of them would yawn and allow Israel to be destroyed if it would keep them in good standing with their liberal jet-setting UN-loving pals.
But according to the NY Post, they hadn’t killed any Israelis. And if there were casualties, they were no where near the 300 people dead from a war started b/c of Israeli elections.
Disagreeing with a foreign state does not make someone an ‘anti-semite’.
According to the pro-Israel NY Post, there aren’t any Jews being killed right now but that the Israelis started the war b/c the government was behind in the polls. However, there are significant Palestinian casualties. Exactly how many dead Arabs “push the limits of indifference to you, Mr. Enchante”?
As an American, I don’t follow Hezbullah’s ‘provocations’, so I can’t tell what you are talking about. I don’t follow foreign states.
You must know that Pres. Carter delivered peace to Israel through the Egypt/Israel deal. More than Pres GW Bush accomplished.
I’m an Irish American, who chose the name “Sobieski’ thanks to his beating the Muzzies in Vienna on 9/11 1683.
The neo-cons are post-American nationalists but ironically pro-Israel nationalists. Go figure.
This is not a just war. The response (300 dead vs none dead) is not proportionate. Throw in the political motives, and it is unjust.
“Zbigniew Brzezinski is an embarrassment to all freedom loving Polish people.”
As a person of Polish descent I cringe anytime a moron like ZB speaks.
The neo-cons are post-American nationalists but ironically pro-Israel nationalists.
No they are not. They defend Israel on the basis of it being a "democracy" at the same time they seek to promote democracy by the sword in the Islamic world. If their Jacobin delusions were magically sucessful, their plans would undermine their only liberal defense of Israel.
As right-liberals, thier defense of a nation-state is an unprincipled exception, one which crumbles to the left, barring a screaming match of racism.
And I would note Irish Americans who support the unification of Ireland are no better.
PS. There is now a pretty good Vodka buy the name Sobieski.
I understand that this maroon goes on Polish television and, [ab]using his position as an “American statesman”, blovates there. Shame!
Talk to Hamas about dead Arabs — they are the ones committing thousands of acts of terrorism and war.
No nation or people should endure what the Islamo-Nazis are doing — the only reason they don’t now kill vastly larger numbers of Jews and other “infidels” is b/c they currently lack the means — that’s why they must be stopped now, before they can grow any more powerful.
Israel is remarkably restrained, year after year, considering all of the terrorism inflicted upon them.
I did not say Brezinski was an “anti-Semite” — my words were “hostile to Israel” — I do realize there are plenty of people, including left-wing Jews, who believe that they can be hostile to Israel without being “anti-Semites”..... there are plenty of leftists (including many Jews) who openly admit their hostility to Israel but say they are not hateful toward Jews. I hesitate to take a lot of them at their word but anyway the phrase I used was “hostile to Israel” and there is no doubt in my mind that the expression is fair and objective for both Carter and Zbig.
I don’t pretend to read Zbig’s mind on his deep feelings and beliefs about Jews. However, I do happen to think that anyone who is not a very STAUNCH supporter of Israel’s self-defense and survival probably really does not care much about the lives of 6 million Jews there.
Some fools are just idiotic enough to be an Obama pick!
So,you are saying that in war casualties must be “proportionate”? 300 Jews when 300 barbarian savages die? You oughta drop that “sobieski” monicker, which , incidentally, should capitalize the first letter.

excuse my attempt at levity with is name.....
Give Zbig a tent and pitch it in a Sderot nursery school playground. Chain him to a peg, and then bring him back to Scarborough for an update.
The local joke.. “West Milton: We Got Big Ball”
Interesting point about the Ottomans. Good book on that is Stoye’s “The Siege of Vienna”
Sobieski vodka is the best value on the market, no doubt. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same stuff sold in the fancy bottles (like Chopin vodka)
I think that the combinatin of the Celtic Tiger period and the power of the EU have taken the wind from the sails of the 26+6=1 movement...
