This is not a just war. The response (300 dead vs none dead) is not proportionate. Throw in the political motives, and it is unjust. I call BS.
Actually, Israelis have died from the rocket attacks. 2 died as of Monday, and another died today. However, even if the Palestinians had not killed any Israeliss, Israel's response would be just. The intent of Hamas was to lob rockets into sovereign Israel in order to kill Israelis in an attempt to destroy the nation. Israel response of targeting Hamas terrorists, command and control, and paramilitary forces are the epitome of just warfare. Your Fannonite logic of the weak being just does not belong on a conservative site.
Finally, if all wars have political costs and benefits. Thsi does not change anything.
