After 10 years and many thousands of replies, I am leaving FR.
I don't really care, and I don't know why anyone else would.
I am leaving before I am banned (again). Truth doesn't seem to matter on FR. I don't know if it is donations or sympathetic opinions that do, but I have been suspended twice when I followed the rules and the people who complained to the moderators didn't, yet the moderators sided with them.
For the record, evolution is a fact and the Shroud of Turin is a fraud. I would prove it if the admin moderators would let me, but they won't. Your resident "expert", Swordmaker won't debate me because he can't.
I will work to build a forum where members have rights and truth matters.

Seriously, some of the so called conservatives on here are as tolerant as the taliban and I’m a Christian for that matter.
Shame to see that your ego has led to this. Also sad to see that you’re playing the victim. You constantly push buttons. There’s a difference between defending science and acting like an ass. You chose the latter more than the former. Best wishes, but it’s your own choices that led to this.

Newsflash: you can be conservative, non-religious and manage to avoid going to the Religion Forum to repeatedly harass people about their respective religious beliefs. You can even do that, and manage to avoid being permanently banned, as this whiney little Opus demonstrates.
News flash to atheists; JR is more than just conservative, and this is his forum, not yours. He hasn’t exactly kept his Christianity a secret. He is under no obligation to provide you with free bandwidth to spread lies that go against his openly stated value system.

I am not going to voice my opinion on whether or not I personally believe in evolution, however, I should say that evolution is taught in schools as both a fact and a theory.
The observed changes in organisms over time are considered the ‘facts’ of evolution. The explanations and unifications of those ‘facts’ are part of the larger ‘theory’ of evolution.
In some branches of science, a ‘theory’ does not mean a guess or hypothesis. A theory is defined as a some sort of organized system of explanations for a certain phenomenon.
Other theories include General/Special Relativity and Newton’s Theory of Gravity
