The host here is talking to a guy who seems to be connected to some of the GOP bigwigs, who give him internal polling numbers. The audio link is abysmally slow. If this is accurate, and I cannot vouch for it, but it sounds like it might be, we could be in for a really great night of schadenfreude on Tuesday, watching the Chernobyl meltdown on MSNBC.

That was a nice apology. I was typing my comment to you during the minute or so between your apology and my scolding. Nod of appreciation to you.
I feel sorry for them as they will be massively disappointed in 2 days.
They stole all the signs in lower Bucks.I still have mine and there is a pollster walking around on our street and if he touches it I tackle him:)
I see fewer signs in general here this year. I think this presidential election might be sucking the wind out of all the congressional races.

Landslide for McCain in California? That sounds a little far fetched.
“The minute they call the election for McCain, Im glued to pMSNBC.”
Me too, can’t wait to see Oberman have a seizure.
;) Thanks!
You can call me "Magna"
You are very kind.
Yes, I agree. And according to the gnomic "ObiWan" at NRO's The Corner, A late shift toward McCain is the Obama campaign's worst nightmare:
Obi Wan: "Believe me, there is someone in the Obama campaign who is deathly afraid of the 'McCain pulls even or goes ahead' poll."... "That Obama strategist knows how much depends on the whole Chuck Schumer and Rahm Emanuel approach .work with the media to demoralize conservatives, and keep the perception of a juggernaut going. But a day or two of a few bad polls, and that strategy backfires. The conservatives know they've still got a shot at this."I can't see how news that we are closing dramatically would make conservative voters complacent. We're like a basketball team that's been down 20, but now stands one 3 pointer away from taking the lead. The closer we are the more excited we get. No one's going to back off now. News like this will likely increase republican turn out, not dampen it. But dampening turnout is the other side's strategy.
The strategy has backfired. Most reputable polls are within the margin of error. The GOP IS energized.
By competing in AZ where he is behind by double digits, Obama is trying to get GOP voters to discount the polls showing it close and get them to think, “Oh, my-it’s going to be a landslide-we’re doomed”.
This belies his behavior in other states. Does anyone actually think that if O had a shot at AZ, he’d still be visiting PA, OH, FL or VA, let alone IA?
People aren’t buying it.
I haven't the foggiest idea.
Not buying this one...
Yeah, it sounds like wishful thinking.
If he was ten points ahead he and Biden would’nt need to attack Mccain at every stop. He would be doing his victory lap.
Somethings very hokey about these polls.
I do understand WHY you would want to - but man, oh, man - I STILL couldn’t stomach it - Chrissy and little Keithy make me want to puke!!
Chrissy and little Keithy make me want to puke!!
Good point - maybe I can try to watch them after all....

The guys on Fox and Friends just said that McCain is the most upbeat Carl Cameron has seen him in 14 years of covering him, and I believe it was Doocy who speculated that McCain’s internal polls are looking really good for him.... Why would McCain be giddy if he thinks it’s over....?????
Was his name Karl by any chance?
