We've been hearing some pretty hysterical things said by Barack Obama's critics about Obamanomics.

Socialist. Destroyer of wealth. Enemy of small business.

So, here's a primer on how Obama, if elected, will be "spreading the wealth around" in the next four years—and why he's far from a socialist radical.

And even, to a struggling but hopeful entrepreneur like myself (call me Jack the Writer), not cause for alarm.

Let's begin with some historical perspective. The United States responded to the last existential crisis faced by Americans—the triple-headed threat posed by Depression, Fascism, and Communism—by raising taxes and going into debt, big time, to pay for all those Sherman tanks and B-17 bombers and ICBMs we needed to defend ourselves. We paid down that debt, gleefully, with high income tax rates in the golden economic era, the Happy Days, that followed World War II.

But as the middle class grew larger in that time of postwar prosperity, more and more Americans crept into the top tax brackets that had, previously, been the exclusive domain of the filthy rich. John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson cut income taxes, bringing the top rate down from its confiscatory wartime high of 94 percent to 70 percent.

We DID defeat Nazism. Spanish and South American Fascism continued into the 1970s.

Even the USSR is becoming the Soviet ReUnion with former KGB figure Putin and the Ruskies running military wargames.

Brack Obama is claiming that the LACK of a provision for the redistribution of wealth in our Constitution is a black mark on the authorship of our Constitution. They missed out on something that the "people" really needed.

Of course, there is no representation in the redistribution of my taxes to someone who pays none. They would've had a tax revolt.

So we have to recognize that this is NOT a founding ideal of this nation.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and the rest of them are turning over in their graves at the prospect we are facing. Please, young parents, please rescue your children from the indoctrination camps that the public schools have become. Teach them at home. Teach them the Bible. Teach them the Declaration of Independence and teach them the United States Constitution or send them to a truly dedicated Christian school where they teach these things. Add to that a decent curriculum minus the politically correct (corrupt) crap the left has rammed down our throats. Do this even if it harelips Aunt Hanny, causes your in-laws to have and cow and makes your parents go apoplectic. - I’m tired of the teachers on this site, with all due respect, defending the public school system. I graduated 44 years ago, and even then, we had no, zero, nada teaching on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We were taught that the helpless Pilgrims had to depend on Squanto and the other Indians to feed them their turkey and dressing on the first Thanksgiving - and, of course, we learned all about the gods and goddesses in Greek mythology, spent weeks in that stupidity from a recent graduate with a degree in education who dated the BMOC football players in her class. One older English teacher did teach us one chapter in Proverbs in high school, but mostly as a lesson in literature and figurative writing. Our second grade teacher did have us memorize the hundreth Psalms around Thanksgiving. (That was 55 yrs. ago.) Now, they only allow thanks to be given to the Indians for feeding those helpless, horrible, ungrateful Pilgrims.. and the Bible is not even allowed to be mentioned.

Take it from a mother with a lot of regrets from over thirty years ago.
