If this happens, (and I think it’s a BIG “if”) it won’t be Clinton. I don’t discount the “replace Biden” theory—nobody can unintentionally be that vacuous—but I think it would be someone like Bayh or Sebilius—HRC would never agree to it. Any thoughts?

It is being said among some strategists that the problems facing our country are so serious that no president, however brave and strong, could solve them; and the people will blame the administration in power during the coming unpleasantness. Times may become tough. If that is so, it's very unlikely that Americans would vote for yet another Republican administration in 2012.
I've heard it said that Mark Warner is positioning himself for a run in 2012. This could well be accurate. But Hillary might once again take a crack at it. I think she would win.

Here’s proof. If you closely examine the absentee ballots already printed in dozens of states, you’ll find Biden’s name written in disappearing ink.

Barbara mentioned something to Clinton about how he told her McCain was the only republican candidate who could win the election...a year ago. He has also said this somewhere else but I can’t remember where. He is so complimentary of McCain, and just makes some quick obligatory remark about Obama. He says he a staunch democrat (I believe him) but I would love to be a fly in the booth with him on election day. I just wonder if he and Hillary will vote for Obama because of party loyalty, or if they’ll pull the lever for McCain/Palin....

Bill said Hillary didn’t want to be VP but that she would have done it out of duty.
Of course, we will then have to endure the screams that the election can't be valid because the exit polls said something different, which brings up just one other reason to suspect the left's grasp on reality.
I've received this thing in an email at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks.
If it's too serious to keep him from being VP, then it's too serious for him to return to the Senate, either.
If Biden has to drop out of the race for "health" reasons, he should also resign from the Senate to spend more time with his family, otherwise he will be living the sham that this really is.

This rumor is being pushed so hard it sounds like the Obama campaign is offering a shinny object meant to distract right wing bloggers, waste their time, demoralize them when it doesn’t happen, and then later discredit them in the MSM as rumor mongers.
