TVNewser has learned Katie Couric will interview Republican VP nominee Gov. Sarah Palin next week on the campaign trail, days before the first presidential debate.
We hear the interview will air on the CBS Evening News and on all CBS News platforms. It will also include something the previous two interviews did not time with Sen. John McCain and Palin together.
Interesting tactic. One interview each week.
Oh my....this will be fair and balanced. (sarcasm) Definately an interview I will make sure to miss! :)
lets hope they set rules on cutting the interview and (maybe use the Obama telepromter).
Can we start a pool to see how many “Gotcha” questions Couric tries. Also, how many times she says “some people say.”
How many kids does the Perky One have and how old are they?
Catty Couric will show her claws, but my money says pitting Couric against Governor Palin is like pitting a saltine cracker against a sandblaster.
Oh GAWD. Couric = the Eva Braun of journalism. if I were advising Sarah, I’d advise against it - it’s just going to be another hit piece, followed by a smear-fest.
Somewhere, Dan Rather whispers “Courage, courage” through his tears.
Bring your own video cameras, Sarah!
WHY, for Pete’s sake? Has GOP become overly masochistic all of a sudden?
I hope Sarah gets the chance to ask Katie: “Katie, when your husband died of cancer and you had small children at home, why didn’t you leave your job to stay home and take care of your kids?”
Exactly. Sarah Palin will eat Katie’s lunch.
“”Also, how many times she says some people say.””
OR the people at home think/want to know!!!!!
It seems to me that the interest in McCain/Palin (particulary the Palin part) is such that people who are truly curious will tune in to whatever media outlet is airing an interview. Therefore, the campaign doesn’t need the enemy media to get its message out or for exposure of any kind. The only thing that will result from this, unless it is aired live and unedited, will be a hit piece aimed at discrediting the candidates. Why do it at all?
Yes, but every hit piece that fails to hurt her only makes her more popular !
Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.
I’m concerned about this one because Couric is far more vicious than any man would be with Palin.
She’ll find some obscure item Palin has in her past - forgotten and muddied by memory and sideswipe Palin with
its utmost importance!
For this one Palin has to be in top form and she must be getting very tired with the campaign stump and flying and standing and smiling and not cuddling her loved ones. Couric goes for blood.
She might sniff the air on occasion as if she smells something bad.... it could put Couric off her nasty trap.
