The DUmmies and KOmmies are really piling on Sarah Palin bigtime for all manner of perceived sins. However, one of the most ridiculous of the slams is attacking her for being a (gasp!) FEMALE hunter as you can see in this DUmmie THREAD titled, "I could never date or be attracted to any woman that hunts and enjoys killing animals." It wouldn't surprise me a bit if this DUmmie accuses conservatives of being sexist but feels fine with posting this thread. So let us now watch the DUmmies attack Sarah Palin in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, waiting for them to attack Sarah for that time she illegally ripped a tag off her mattress, is in the [brackets]:
I could never date or be attracted to any woman that hunts and enjoys killing animals
[So that means you are attracted to men who hunt?]
It's about the least attractive thing a woman could ever do in my opinion. I eat meat and understand that some hunting is necessary to control animal populations but I don't get people who enjoy watching an animal flail around in agony after their guts just got blown out. I like to think of women as gentle, kind and loving and enjoyment of the violence of hunting just doesn't seem to fit with those qualities. If a family is poor and can really use the meat I think its fine, but respect for the animal should be taught to the children like the Indians taught their children when an animal was killed for survival. Women who like to kill animals simply seem neanderthal to me and if I ever found out a girl-fried was into hunting I would move on. I am straight and don't date men but if I did I hope I would feel the same way.
[Does that mean you are against women serving in combat? Now on to the other DUmmies...]
Hunting just for the fun of killing an animal = Bullfighting = Cockfighting= Dogfighting. Enjoying the suffering of animals sucks. I love meat, and I know animals must get killed in order to be eaten, but I hate the idea of someone just shooting an animal just to enjoy its death.
[Yeah. People who hunt shouldn't be enjoying it. Same goes for fishing.]
I know fathers in WVa who feed the children from what they bring back in deer season. For them, it is not about ego. It is about nutrition for their kids
[It's okay for fathers to hunt but verboten for mothers?]
I also have a cougar skin. Now before you jump, this cougar died in a flood.Rescuers attempted to get him out of a swift current but the attempt failed.I was lucky because I knew some of the rescuers, they knew I loved cats, aso they called, told me the story and offered me the cat. So I took the skin. There were NO holes in it,no trap marks nothing. it's head was a little bigger than normal and it was very wet.It was alot of work to fix it.I have a deep connection to felines. The first night I had the cougar done I had him on my bed and I had a dream that I was with him in his mothers den.I will never forget that dream. This great cat's hide was a gift from the cougar spirits I think.
[A DUmmie gets an erotic dream from sleeping with a stuffed cougar.]
And when wolves howl in the night, it feels as if they are calling to me ..
[I bet you had a wet dream that night.]
Sarah Palin is no hero - she is what makes hunters look like fools. Did you ride in a helicopter and use high powered weapons with long range sights? Did you kill, as Palin does, for the thrill and not because you needed to feed yourself and possibly a family? Maybe some research into palin's hunting habits are in order? Just a THOUGHT. She kills endangered animals for the sport of it and wants to devastate Alaska for its oil. She is no huntress mother goddess...
[A DUmmie who can mindread Sarah Palin's thoughts when she pulls the trigger. And you have proof that Palin did not eat her kill? Yeah, I can just see campaign oppo research into that one.]
I have the point of view that you have no right to eat an animal if you would not kill it yourself. Granted, you could kill it incredibly humanely, but morally you have no right if you would not kill it.
[I've eaten sea urchin eggs straight out of the sea urchin. Does that count?]
Meat is not some magical tastey slab of something. Meat comes from living breathing entities that deserves respect just like anything else in nature.
[Why am I suddenly getting a big hunger for a "tastey" slab of baby back ribs? Oh, and I'll tell Porky Pig how much I respect him.]
Nature is not pretty. Sorry, it's not.
[I thought it is comedy that's not pretty. At least according to Steve Martin.]
How do you do that? Anesthetize it? Hypothermia? Never been much of a hunter myself, but all the ones I know aim for the heart to take the animal down quickly. One pissed off deer could really ruin your day.
That's why I only buy certified meat. I like the fact that they give the animal a certificate; it lets him or her know that they're special.
My wife and I just went horse back riding up here in Alaska in the Cooper Landing and fishing in the Russian and Kenia river, so much fun .. Fresh salmon was pretty good , the sore legs was a little much ;-)))))))))
A lot of it is. But those freaking dobson flies they have in Walnut Cove NC are horrifying. Don't even get me started on horse flies. I can't stand 'em.
I wish Ernest Hemingway were alive right now to slap the sh*t out of you.
Not to mention what a pissed off bear can do..
It will ruin your life.
"The wee nancy" has undoubtedly been fed a constant line of propaganda of "guns are evil" since he was born, thus his rather limited understanding of the entire subject. That being said, such limited understanding should be grounds enough for him to keep his piehole firmly shut, lest he come off looking like a complete idiot, such as he has done here...
the infowarrior
That sounded like sound advise to me.
I've always found opossums to be particularly repulsive. Like great big bloated rats with bad attitudes. Ick.
LOL! What struck me about this is the hypocrisy. Of course, this is nothing more that presumption on my part, but I can have some respect for liberals who walk the talk (Ed Begley Jr comes to mind, he's the only one).
The vast majority of them don't, and I suspect if this guy, who is admittedly straight (on DU you don't claim to be straight if you're not; I think some of the straight ones claim to be gay to earn "cred"), wouldn't care if her hobbies included shooting rats at the local DUmp and rolling bums if he had a chance of getting laid.

I had the impression the writer was looking in the mirror when he had that train of thought.
I used to hunt but no longer do due to health reasons. In fact, I gave all my hunting guns, cabinet & supplies to a (then) 10 year old boy who loves the sport. Of course, his dad has control.
As to killing humanely, I think that's a misguided impression that comes from the abortion issue. They have to believe there is such a thing as humane killing or the whole issue of abortion falls like a house of cards.
It is the most ironic thing, the DUmmie mind. It's often the most moronic thing as well. I know that there are pro-life Democrats as there are pro-choice Republicans.
The people who are opposed to the death penalty for murderers will argue "how can you be pro-life and still support the death penalty?"
This is how Satan tricks us: It's the words that are wrong. It took me time to see the light, but I do see the light. You are anti-murder or pro-murder.
The way that murderers (who qualify for the death penalty; only a fraction do) are put to death is by first giving them a sedative that puts them under. They are then given a paralytic agent to ensure they have no pain. Then they are given a drug to stop their heart. I don't know for sure, but I'd bet a paycheck that not one of them gave their victims that courtesy.
Now the way I understand early term abortions is that they just pump saltwater into the baby, it convulses and dies. Late term abortions are even worse. These induced labor abortions that Obama is so fond of sound to me like something out of Hitler's playbook.
As for those who say that the death penalty is no deterrent, I'll say this: It is. Once the murderer is put to death, there is no chance that he will kill again. There are a lot of people in prison, some are evil to the core, some aren't. How many people are in prison who have a legitimate chance of becoming a decent human being, at redemption, who would be denied that if some murderous maniac were running loose in the general population?
Tar and feather, hanging, firing squad, guillotine. Can you feel the love tonight?
Obviously from a male DUmmie.
They are. They're calling "come here, breakfast!"
Let's be honest, though. If this idiot were camped out with nothing between him and a pack of howling wolves but a sleeping bag he'd be marinating in his own urine. Nature isn't cute, Jacko, it's awesome, and awe is what you have for something that can kill you, but only if you're smart enough not to let it.
Why just WV?
Is this some kind of DUmmie slap at the Mountain State residents?
When you’re at the page go to [File] [Save As]. It should work either in IE or Firefox. It saves the page to your hard drive.
And that is my answer to the question whether the death penalty is a deterrent. It's also the sole reason I support the death penalty. Is it humane? Even as you describe it the individual likely suffers trauma knowing he's about to die. So, no, I personally don't consider it humane. But is it just? Yes. Certainly.
I, for one, don't believe the death penalty prevents someone from killing another if that's their intent. There's too much needless killing every day that exposes that fallacy. But it does remove the egregious killers from our society permanently. And it does insure they don't live their lives to their normal conclusion off of the society they so wantonly disabused.
