I suspect that this is yet another “red herring”
_______________

I agree. They are getting clever and know how to manipulate the internet. Like the “Whitey Video” this is being stirred up to discredit the opposition. Keep our powder dry.

Same as Goldwater (?)- Arizona wasn’t a state when he was born.

What is the evidence he was born in Kenya?

Reportedly some Hillary supporters found evidence in Kenya of a birth certificate for Barak Obama Jr. registered there.

"No you don't. All you need is a parent with US citizenship."

No, not that simple. The parent has to meet certain rigid residence requirements that Hussein's mother did not. Those requirements have been posted here too many times for you to have missed.

Uh-huh. But what if his Birth Certificate states something like dual citizenship?

He was created in a Palestinian computer virus mill.

I didn’t miss them. I’m aware of the discussion about his mother, her age at the time of his birth, and residency requirements.

But the Senator is so closed mouthed and tight with verification documents it is hard to tell what was done when to get him listed on her passport when he was a child.

"What is the evidence he was born in Kenya?"

The testimony of three of his relatives from Kenya.

The birth of illegitimate chldren was never announced in 1961

Yea, well that address is not exactly low rent student housing either. Seems a bit rich even for the grandparents, but it could be their address.

Something to check the old Hawaiian telephone books for.

Of course it's entirely possible that he was born in some hospital in Hawaii, Stanley (his mother) gave her parents address and "Mr. and Mrs. Barrack Hussein Obama as the parents name. Or just didn't bother to to mention that she was not married to BHO. The "fake" CLB did show BHO as the father, and gave Stanley's maiden name.

It's also possible the birth certificate, was filed late, after his mother returned with him to Hawaii from somewhere outside the US. (But I doubt it). The Vital records list would still show him as being born on whatever day the birth certificate shows. But unless the date was reported fradulently, it doesn't leave much time for messing around with filings and such. The date is the 4th, and the list was given to the paper, by Vital Records, in time to be printed on the 10th.

Perhaps, he was born in Kenya (there is evidence to suggest that) and his mother put the notice in the Honolulu paper so all her friends would know

From the linked blog, it appears that in those days, the newspaper announcements were made up from lists supplied by the state records folks. Thus the mother or grandmother could not have put the name in the paper.

The question still remains about the original paperwork that the entry on the list from the state records office was based upon. Was it a late filing? What hospital did the information come from. Why is the hospital such a mystery and why did the Obama people put a photo shopped certificate of live birth on their website?

Well, the name isn’t popular here, but some places I’ll bet that name isn’t all that rare.

I think that’s reasoned advise.

I’m still on the fence about his birth records. I would hate to think a person who was not born in the U.S. and lied about it could become President.

You are probably much more up to speed on this than I. I don’t follow all the issues quite as closely as I should. I know there are problems with the birth certificate, but I haven’t followed all the stories about his youth and the players involve. I’m probably not the best guy to run this stuff by. Sorry.

If only one parent is a U.S. citizen, then that parent must show that he or she lived in the U.S. for at least ten years prior to the child’s birth, with at least five of those years after the age of 14.

Not if the birth is in the US.

Congress later stipulated that individuals born in the Canal Zone after February 1904 were automatically U.S. citizens.

Congress had, of course, to make the stipulation because there was a serious question as to whether the zone was actually U.S. territory in the normal sense. Also, it only made this stipulation in 1937, that was after McCain was born thus making his claim to fully qualify under this stipulation somewhat cloudy.
