I stumbled upon this "insult" during the 2000 election. It turned out to be a trigger point with the DUmmie and had an effect not unlike flinking him on the nose.

I recommend everyone to use the term instead of Democratic (or as I spell it, Dhimmicratic when referring to them...

Can anyone explain to me why they view it as such an insult?


Im not so sure they really think its an insult. I think its a clever ruse to divert us from using the term they really hate : LIBERALS

"Democrat" as an adjective sounds like an epithet, and makes people recoil. It has the hard sound of "shit" and similar aggressive terms of anger and condemnation. "



Ohhhhhhh I get it, were are suppose to anticipate what the word "sounds like" to these people, not just what things feeeeeeel like.

I was trying to figure out the same thing, and haven't. I give up on that score, to try hard would be to enter their mentally disturbed minds, and that is a scary place!

I wouldn't mind if I were referred to as Party of the Republic, heck I like it. When their part was formed it was named Democrats, maybe we should call them what they really are instead, socialists and communists!

I made my professor really mad once. I said that "progressive" was a euphemism.

One thing for sure. The wifey has absolutely NO interest in politics. On election night last November she even had to ask me who I was rooting for.

I made a fellow student totally PO'ed during my college orientation. I happened to follow some ditz that claimed she took a couple years off to "find herself".

I replied that I have not found the need to "find myself", since I never considered myself lost in the first place...

Good for you. I love to get under their skin. I did that just yesterday with a cousin who claims to be GOP but sends the most derogatory emails about Bush imaginable. I went through the list of things he sent, rebutting them in turn, and then told him I'd pray for his anger.

It didn't take him long to respond and agree to take me off his anti-Bush list.

Democrat means a political party...of which you are one.

Democratic means you uphold the beliefs traditions and ideals set forth in the Conistitution of the U.S....of which you do NONE of the above.
