Lies: The Crusades
Southern Pundit ^ | 8-29-2006 | James P

All of us know that historical revisionism is a favored tool of the liar and those who like to play the blame game.

Right after 9/11, this was on display for the whole world to see when Bin Laden and the Left decided to blame the Middle East’s hatred of the West on, of all things, the Crusades.

The Crusades were a series of wars that were fought nearly a thousand years before anyone on this Earth was born, yet the extremists hang on to it today like it’s some kind of personal injustice. I find it inconceivable that one group of people will blame another group of people for an event that no one in either group was there to witness or be a party to, but I guess that’s just one of the more objectionable aspects of human nature.

Whatever their reasons for that line of thinking, the important thing is that The Crusades are viewed as a series of aggressive wars for the intent of killing ‘unbelievers’ disrupting the sophisticated and peaceful muslim society, and taking loot. This, of course, is all a crock.

Thanks for the ping! Sorry I'm a little slow. Good article! It's amazing that people under age 45 or so know so little about what prompted the self defense of the Crusades. Most of 'em seem to think the Christians were the bad guys and actually accuse them of committing the atrocious acts that the Muslims did. Makes me sick.

I mentioned the evil acts of the Muslims before the Crusades to a neighbor under age 40. She was shocked and said she never heard of such a thing, even though she did very well in school. I think she somewhat believed me, but had the look of doubt in her eye of one still in brainwashed influenced denial.
