"That NEA advocates for the inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender issues in the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education teacher education program review process."
That was recommended at the NEA meeting in Orlando. That means that the NEA "recommends that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues be required content for teacher credentialing," according to AFA Action Alert.
Further, NEA had no doubts about its endorsement of homosexual nuptials and adoptions wherever approved by law.
According to BP: "During the June 29-July 5 meeting in Orlando, Fla., the NEA amended its B-10 resolution on 'racism, sexism, sexual orientation and gender identification discrimination' which said in part, 'Discrimination and stereotyping based on such factors as race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, disability, ethnicity, immigration status, occupation and religion must be eliminated,' by adding the following paragraph:
""The Association also believes that these factors should not affect the legal rights and obligations of the partners in a legally recognized domestic partnership, civil union, or marriage in regard to matters involving the other partner, such as medical decisions, taxes, inheritance, adoption, and immigration.'
"Currently, seven states have some form of legal recognition for homosexual couples. Massachusetts allows 'gay marriage,' Vermont and Connecticut have civil unions, California has domestic partnerships, and the District of Columbia, Maine, New Jersey and Hawaii have laws that grant same-sex couples at least some of the legal benefits of marriage."
In addition, the NEA took out the term "tolerance" regarding homosexuality and supplied "acceptance and respect" concerning such alliances. "The author of New Business Item 52 used this rationale: 'We should teach acceptance and respect, not tolerance, of those who are different from us wherever appropriate.'"
What is particularly frightening in the light of teachers molesting students today is that NEA would not pass an amendment setting forth protection of pupils from "sexual misconduct by teachers."
"The amendment read 'To protect the rights of all students, the Association believes sexual contact between education professionals and minor students is unacceptable.'
The NEA refused to pass the amendment. Many feel that the NEA refused to pass the amendment in order to protect teachers who have sex with students."

This is one argument for normalization of homosexuality: this will free the gays to find some other, yet not normalized deviancy to shock us with.

And just what does this have to do with training teachers to teach children? Oh! Wait a minute! Getting a teaching degree DOESN'T train you to teach (as per my best friend and s-i-l who both got their teaching degrees and told me the same thing- the degree does not teach you how to teach)
Don't feel bad, I don't think they do either. My guess is that they consider everybody that unless you're sure you know you're straight.

It's so hard to keep up with all the new sexuality terms, isn't it? I don't even want to know what they all mean anymore.
There was another article here about "safe zone" posters being placed in schools. "Safe zones" for students who were - and here were the terms - gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, transgendered, and questioning.
And how many more terms will be added? One can only wonder...
With all the homosexual agenda articles, it's difficult to keep up with the ping demand. Here is a list of recent articles:
'We should teach acceptance and respect, not tolerance, of those who are different from us wherever appropriate.'"
As we have been saying all along...........it's not about tolerance. Quite the opposite.
As the Kinks so aptly put it "She walked like a woman but talked like a man...Girls will be boys, and boys will be girls...It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world,
except for Lola. Lo lo lo Lola. Lo lo lo Lola."
