About a week or so ago, one of our local radio talkers had an interview with Rev. Peterson. Alas, I tuned in almost at the end, but from what I heard, this man is good. He's the kind of leader African-Americans need...not Jessie, Al or Louis. But unfortunately, you won't hear of Rev. Peterson in the mainstream media.

Anyone can achieve success by finding leadership within. Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, et al--those who claim to be leaders of men, anyone who claims to be a "leader" of that ilk, are nothing more than masters holding a whip over the heads of their slaves, regardless of color.

For a starter they could:

• Get off gov't assistance and become independant.
• Start looking up to people who suceeded in life, not the ones with the gold chains.
• Learn to speak like a person, not a rap star.
• Stop blaming every problem you have on racism.
• Forget about "bling bling" and start saving money for the future.
• Quit having 5 babies from 5 different fathers.
• Get an education.
• Stop listening to Jesse Jackson and people like him.
• Resist the temptation to vote for the politician who plays the race card.
• Clean up your neighborhoods and cities.

Stay with it anyway, pay your bills and instead of putting your hand out and whining like it's only happening to you, go back to school to get a better paying job where they still kick s$#^ in your face everyday. Get a part time job in addition to your straight boogie. You will be living in a little better house, driving a little better car, you will be tired all the time and never get to be at home but that's life!
