I'm in Ireland, and there are so many misguided libs over here walking around like someone just peed in their cornflakes. Please take a trip across the Irish Sea and thank the editors of The Guardian for encouraging their readers to tell the voters of Ohio to vote for Kerry. The backlash in the Buckeye State against that counterproductive project put Ohio in the Bush camp for sure.

"They've got God...and it's been killing us." Some CREATIVE preacher should put that statement on the Church announcement sign out front and do a sermon on that topic.

There wouldn't happen to be a post of one of these threads from a person that acknowledges they (DUers, extreme lofts, Ted, JFK and Etwards et al...) are not the majority in this country. Conservatives, Christians along with other religion and people who want to raise their children in a safe environment make up the large majority of this country.
Until they manage to crack their concrete skull and see life in reality instead of magical thinking, they're doomed, doomed to be jello brains.

~its the stupid holy rollers, stupid. stupid ppl outnumber us and most of them are religious. religion is evil and this election is proof. anyone that still believes in god(s) after this is a fool ~
Well, that makes sense! It's the ones who *believe* in God who won the election, so shouldn't that make you believe in God more????

Boy they are a riot. They, like the liberal elite in the east, once again underestimate and stereotype most of America. If only they knew some of our real backgrounds. shaking head--DUmmies!

Through your thread I was able to get to the main election thread. There is a thread saying that gays are the new blacks and Jews. I think it is a given over there that the Nazis(read Republicans) are just waiting to sew little pink triangles on all the gays and lesbians and cart them away when the Patriot Act II is revealed. One comment said that gays and lesbians need to marry and start going to church to blend in with the rest of us. Another is so disheartened that he is going back into the closet. I find it all so very amusing.

Knowing the sort of people that run The Guardian (our leftists here in Britain are perhaps even more smug and self-righteous than yours in America), I think a large number of polite, calm, reasonable letters from right-wing Americans thanking them for their intervention and the swing to Bush would cause them to collapse in tears. The rude letters were too easy to ignore, but polite ones implying that The Guardian won it for Bush would p*ss them off quite mightily.

They better not move to Aussie. Almost like a small US over there. They'd be disappointed.

Is someone able to go back "in the closet"? That seems silly - he/she will get married, have kids, and then "come out" again when the president is someone more suited to further their cause?
The DUer's truly blow my mind sometimes.

....and you have the foot stomping liberal. Oh, yes. Australopithecus liberalis brontopodes -- very volatile, need to be careful around specimens of these in the wild.
