NEVER FORGET
.."TOM McSELFISH =
...Gov. BustaMENCHA"
........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.
...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.
...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

You've labelled conservatives who don't vote for liberals as "conservative purists" if those liberals are Republicans.
Conservatives who don't vote for liberals aren't "conservative purists", they're Real Americans(tm).
So cut it out and find yourself some conservative causes that we CAN agree upon. Arnold isn't a conservative cause, nor does he lead to one somewhere down the road.

When there are no conservative candidates, conservatives stay home in droves. You call 'real conservatives'... ' Real Americans'.
Real Americans vote. Real Americans don't sit home and pout that things can't be 100% their way. Your 'real conservatives' need to grow up and stop acting like big babies.

Real Americans do vote...but they don't vote for Clinton whether he has a (D) behind his name OR EVEN IF IT'S AN (R).
It isn't about having things 100% their way, it's about right and wrong, it's about defeating, not embracing liberalism.
It's about adult choices from responsible people.

But there is a difference between stating your views with passion, and bludgeoning those who disagree with your words. And there is a difference between standing up for Christian principles in love, as Scripture mandates, and mocking those who don't agree with you. Sometimes "tough love" is the best medicine. I don't coddle people who behave badly - I tell them like it is. If they can't handle the truth, that is THEIR PROBLEM.

The problem comes when you judge those people from limited amounts of information, and assumptions based on Internet conversations.
'Tough love' belongs with people you know......not people you make assumptions about based on inadequate data.

Link me to a speech where Bill Clinton ever said anything like this:
Just before I came in here today, a reporter asked me why I am a Republican. I said, "Did you see the Democratic presidential debate? There are 9 good reasons right there."
or this:
I heard Humphrey saying things that sounded like socialism, which is what I had just left. I heard Nixon talking about free enterprise, getting the government off your back, lowering taxes and strengthening the military.
Listening to Nixon, I said to my friend, "What party is he?"
My friend said, "He's a Republican."
And I said, "Then I am a Republican!"
Or this:
"I have been a Republican ever since. I handed out leaflets for Republicans. I went door-to-door for Republicans. I couldn't wait to become a citizen so I could vote Republican. I gave money to Republicans. And now I am running for governor as a Republican."
Otherwise I will have to assume that you are just a wee bit hysterical.

The problem comes when you judge those people from limited amounts of information, and assumptions based on Internet conversations. Clearly, one can know Arnold from his fruit. It's rotten, just as Clinton (who waived bibles around) had rotten fruit. Anyone who supports killing babies has huge moral problems. Period. And any Christian who votes for a baby killer is making a moral compromise (want me to say it again in caps?). I judge actions not people. I will judge your actions if you vote for people who have policies and beliefs contrary to biblical teachings. There is NO DEFENSE for it. I also see that you are taking a reprobate's side (68grunt) against the brethren. Bad move. "The spiritual man judgeth all things but is judged by no man." 1Cor 2

I've noticed that a lot of those who think he isn't "republican enough" aren't even Republican.

I absolutely agree that the support the murder of babies is a SERIOUS issue, and primary in my view of any candidate.
However, I might make an exception IF the position that the candidate would hold would make decisions about abortion.
For instance, the fact that Christy Todd Whitman was pro-choice didn't bother me much because in the EPA, she would never make any decisions about abortion. (I had problems with her for other reasons).
I want my Senators, my Congressmen, and my President to be pro-life.......and my Governor.
But will Arnold, as Governor, be making any decisions about abortion? (Other than the partial birth abortion ban position which he supports)?
Or is it possible that voting for McClintock/Bustamante might indirectly put MORE innocent babies' lives at risk? Will voting for a losing McClintock actually result in the deaths of more babies?
These are legitimate questions that solid, strongly pro-life conservatives ask..... Being pro-life is required of a Christian, to be sure. But is voting for one candidate over the other, with the same goal in mind required? I'm not so sure.....
btw, I was referring to your assumptions about me, and those like me, based on limited information......not Arnold.

Great... now that you tried hammering me with insults are you ready to actually talk politics? :-)
---
I told you I am not supporting Arnold out of "emotional pulp", but you refuse to believe it and insist that Arnold doesn't have any conservative stances. As you seem to consider yourself a solid conservative, which of the following don't you agree with, please?
Do you agree to slam the borders shut?
Do you agree that the government needs to be cut down in size?
Do you believe in no taxes raised except for terrorist attack or a natural disaster?
Do you believe in eliminating onerous regulation strangling businesses?
Do you believe in Workers' Compensation Reform?
Do you believe in rolling back the excessive car tax?
Do you believe the state's books need to be audited to find waste and fraud?
Do you believe in anti-gay marriage?
Do you believe in school prayer?
Do you believe in elimating the 8-hour workday and paid parental leave?
Do you believe in being pro-military, pro-national defense?
Do you believe in self-reliance versus socialism?
Do you believe in stopping the DL's for illegals?
Do you believe in English-Only?
Do you agree with being anti-union?
Do you agree with pro-religion, going to church weekly?
Do you agree with pro-family, married to the same woman 11 years.
Do you agre with anti-special interest lobbies, such as Indian Reservations.
Do you agree with donating to charity, focused on children and religious-oriented donations?
Do you agree with being pro-Bush and pro-War in Iraq?
Do you believe in standing firm Prop 13?

Yes, I do. We must be crutially aware of their purpose. The democraps have seen this happen without their participation, and they must think 'how cool is that', so they plant folks here just to make trouble, to act as devil's advocates, to help stir the hate which they so desire. Yes, they could be zealots, and perhaps suffer the same fate, but more probably their intentions are nefarious.

Whether or not a Governor supports or does not support abortions is a moot point. It is a federal issue. Please convince the Tombots of that. They think otherwise.
