NEVER FORGET

.."TOM McSELFISH =

...Gov. BustaMENCHA"

........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.

...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.

...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

Signed:.."ALOHA RONNIE" Guyer / Republican Convention Witness

NEVER FORGET

It is spelled mecha and here is some info:

Los Angeles, Alta California - August 26, 2003 - (ACN) Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante, a front running candidate to replace Governor Gray Davis in the California recall, is being increasingly pressured to repudiate the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA), a student organization in which he held membership while attending Fresno State University as a youth. The pressure upon Bustamante has increased greatly ever since information became widely known that Republican Party candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger's father was a Nazi "brownshirt" in Austria and that Arnold has social connections with former president of Austria, Kurt Wilhelm, another Nazi implicated in war...

On the other hand, they do have a much shorter time period to get their message out than would usually be the case.

Normally yeah, but I have a feeling the state's conservatives have their ears to the ground on this one. One or two strong policy statements and McClintock would be shut out. Its all upside for Schwartz.

IMO those votes are there for the taking. Even a moderate candidate should want to jump at the chance. Every day that goes by without any kind of gesture is making conservatives more & more skiddish.

my Savior has forbidden me from voting for a candidate who supports the continued legality (albeit "controlled") of baby-killing when a pro-life candidate is running.

The Pro-Choice crowd knows that. That is why Davis and friends spend time, effort and money to promote candidates like Simon and McClintock.

How does it feel to be manipulated by the enemy?

Personally I'm on the side of fewer Arnold/Tom/Cruz/Gray threads, but then that's just me. ;-)

If we are lucky they will go away in the 2nd week of October. Unless Cruz wins. Then let the recriminations begin.

...California was BUSH Chief of Staff KARL ROWE's No. 1 Election Target in 2004 even before there was a Recall Election...

...and as it was HILLARY's.

...Strong Incumbent Republican Leadership at the Helm in California and Washington, D.C. =

...BUSH's 2nd Term

The loser will know. The winner will know. If it is a 'toss up', they debate again three days later. Cross linked sources of focus groups, polls, news coverage and editorials, conservative web sites such as this one, it will all be apparant. It will be good for the process and it will be good government. Nobody gets a 'pass' to the governor's office, without going through hell, and a debate is one of them.

So called conservatives who believe in 'good government' but at the same time who cannot get behind the idea of a 1/on/1 debate, are hiding something, are making lame excuses, are cowards, and are very poor citizens, IMHO. There will be every lame reason in the book given by them to avoid the debate or to say 'no' without saying 'no.' It will only be phrased in questions. Never a definitive statement, such as, "no, no debates, it weakens our candidate." We don't need this in government.

You are naive.

Sounds great Jeff, but will we survive 3 more years of "tax and spend". How high will the deficit be? How many more illegals will be here getting free college educations, WIC, AFDC, medi-cal, etc?

Arnold is another push left, not a slow drag to the right.

This was his point.

So you admit, however you vote, you will get a governor who supports abortions?

The Democrats love you guys.

Their ideology is supported on the Democratic ticket by Cruz and by Arnold on the Republican ticket.

With your support they can't lose.

"I'm always suspicious when the media tells me who I'm going to vote for. And Ahnold is the candidate they've chosen."

This reply may be way late, but I must:

You do not have the insight of Los Angeles media. I find the whole
"Arnold" campaign fun to watch. Remember, when the national
networks go to California politics, they use the LA pool.

These are the Hollywood reporters use to going to "Hollywood"
events; parties, et al. If ANY reporter would chastise Arnold,
they would never be invited to another Hollywood party! That is
their life style. Even Barbara S. is not willing to say anything
bad about Arnold. She wants a job!

See, there is another point-of-view in life. Hollywood has it's
own rules,

Good-bye!

With a slight alteration of context your post is right out of the Democrat Underground.

Why?

Whether or not a Governor supports or does not support abortions is a moot point. It is a federal issue.

The foremost principles of the Arnold supporters is making sure liberalism always retains control over California, and through California, the nation.
