Ok I had to go back and look a little myself. I didn't realize that some people thougth damon kicked the dog on purpse and made his nose bleed. No wonder she thinks he's a sociopath. here's the comment in question:
">>>There were over 150 children that went through the doors of my home." --fussybutt--<<<

"It is only my opinion but with your penchant for making unsound, unfair and unprofessional judgments on peoples psychological states that you don't even know, it was over 150 too many".--Greg

There it is...

I didn't know about Damon & the dog either. If he did it, just another reason I think he is evil & disgusting. People who kick dogs are right down there with child abusers in my book.

Thanks for checking. I responded because it was phrased "I also have been slandered by the VD defenders" making it sound like a whole passel of critism has been launched and I did not think that was the case.

I'm starting to wonder if we're all on the same "page" or not.

What do you mean?

San Onofre is a state park. The nude beach is just down the way from the regular beach. It might even belong to Pendleton. Anyway, it's free. But the age group that you described sounds right, except for the gays, who pretty much ruled the beach. (There weren't really any tassels, but the was the guys were swinging their hips, there might as well have been) There wasn't much reason for a straight couple to go there. There sure wasn't much to look at, the only women on the beach were either older, fat, or very cheap looking(died hair and lots of make-up). There were some families, however, with two or three kids.

I dont have the exact testimony in front of me, but the gist of it was that either brenda or damon said layla had frequent nose bleeds..and some folks took that to believe that damon abused the dog. It is speculation as far as I know.

It means I agree with your #1318 and I do not understand how others are seeing something completely different. It's like we're not on the same page as they are.

Well, Kim, this question just begs to be answered. And I'm not being facetious, I really want to know. Don't you think it's a little strange that both Danielle AND Layla were "subject to frequent nosebleeds?" I've been around dogs all my life, have four right now, as a matter of fact, and I can't recall a single dog I've ever known that had nosebleeds. Of course, that's not to say that there AREN'T any. Just that I don't know of any.

I've have 2 dogs and they'v never had nose bleeds that I can recall. My daughter has a sensitive nose, and when she was little, the chlorine use to burn her nose bad enough to make it bleed. Nose/ear plugs helped her a lot.

I don't know that much about dogs...I could "speculate" that allergies could have caused it. (would like to hear a vet's input)

So yes, it is odd to me ...not for danielle to have frequent nose bleeds but yes for the dog.

If Danielle had nose bleeds did they ever take her to the doctor to find out why? And what about the dog did they ever take it to the vet to find what caused the nose bleeds?

My son's nose used to bleed at night. I took him to the doctor to find out why, He had allergies that caused the problem. I have a dog, and if she had nose bleeds all the time I would want to know why.

I don't think the dog was subject to "frequent" nosebleeds. What I recall is the dog had a nosebleed "from running into Damon's leg" which just sounds bad, anyway you parse it. I've seen a dog slam into a brick wall (bad frisbee catch) and get a nose bleed. And get ripped up by a cat, coon or porcupine, but from running into a human leg? I tend to think he kicked the dog, which is why the dog did not put up a fuss when Danielle was taken, too afraid of punishment to give a good alert. JMO

that's right, thanks for the clarification! (This is like the telephone game. See how little facts get stretched, not on purpose of course, just because we misread or mishear)

and layla's blood was on the stairwaybannister railing correct? So is that where damon said she ran into his leg?

I have a new thread started in the regular forum for normal discussion that we had talked about earlier. It has links to most all of the previous threads.

Will anyone start a thread to debate in the smokey room? Are we going to have separate threads for both sides?

NEW THREAD: Index to all the previous threads

small_l_libertarian, are you still with us?

Andrea Yates is a good case. I've been flamed to hell and back on other message boards about my opinions about her. So what. Imho, Rusty and their preacher were the biggest dangers. Andrea imploded under their influence.
