A Washington teacher has admitted having sex with a 16-year-old boy in a sweetheart deal that drastically cuts any time behind bars — as it emerged she is divorcing her husband, who first exposed her twisted behavior.
Mackenzie Naught, 25, had faced five years in prison after being charged with sexual misconduct with a minor for romping with the teen from a neighboring school in her truck — soon after she started her job teaching first grade at St. John Elementary School. But the now-fired teacher pleaded guilty Friday in a deal that means she now faces a maximum of 12 months in county jail, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported.
Whitman County senior deputy prosecutor Tessa Scholl defended the deal, saying the teacher’s admission “represents an important step in holding her accountable for her actions and spares [the victim] the burden of having to testify at trial.” She was exposed when her husband, an assistant track coach at the high school where the teen studied, reported her to police after she admitted her behavior with the boy.

I guess it wasn’t all for naught.
It happened in my high school in the late 70’s, early 80’s. No social media.. no cell phones... it was much easier to get away with it.
This was before the days of sexual harassment being codified, outlawed and frowned upon, except that the students in the affairs were resented as "teacher's pets" by the other students. The administration didn't care, because they were mostly still males wink wink arrr arr arrr!
I knew a gal that was a teacher back in the day (80’s). I can’t remember all of the details, but there was a boy in one of her classes that needed extra help. I’m guessing he was a junior or soph in HS. So she stayed late to work with him, etc. I can’t recall if it got romantic then or not. Then she put in to be his guardian as his parents were not around for whatever reason. After he graduated they ended up getting married for a short time. It never made the news.

I had a couple of hot teachers in HS ( went to parochial school thru 8th grade ) but I’d never have thought about having sex with them . Admittedly I was a “ late bloomer “ hehe . I am proud to say that the only woman with whom I’ve had sex is my wife Masumi . I don’t think she believes it , though .

We had an unfaithful pair of married teachers in my department at the school where I taught. Unfortunately, each married to someone else. They found excuses to take a double lunch period at a nearby hotel. Like the kids didn’t know, heh heh. And the trashy head of our department apparently got off on their romps, so she did nothing about it. Until the kids told the principal. One was transferred to another school. Trashy NYC, they should both have been fired and had their teaching licenses revoked.
I went to elementary and junior high in upstate NY, then high school in the western St. Louis suburbs. Graduated HS in June 1969. I don’t recall ever hearing any stories, rumors or innuendos in all 12 years of schooling. Four years in engineering at Mizzou and no stories there, either.

In my youth it wasn’t a crime
When I was in High School, two male teachers were fired for “relations” with female students.
One of the guilty teachers was “not guilty”, as the male freepers would say. He was a coach, PE teacher, muscular and very handsome. It wasn’t a surprise that female students would chase after him.
The other teacher was my algebra teacher and was extremely “guilty” in the looks department. A girl In my grade was his aide and, almost every day, she would knock on the door during algebra and they would disappear together for a while. Everyone in our class would look knowingly at each other. We weren’t stupid.
The student was a pretty blonde and we couldn’t figure out what she saw in him. He was a nice guy and he definitely gave special treatment to the female students.
Her father was the head of the school ROTC program and was a tough guy. When the truth came out, it was ugly. I don’t know who gave the algebra teacher a tougher time, the girl’s ROTC dad or my teacher’s wife. Even sadder was the fact that the algebra teacher’s son was in our class. Ouch.
I graduated in 1989 and it was rare to hear of female teachers molesting male students. It was always the other way around.
Quite so. And I haven’t read all the responses but usually there’s a few along the lines how “lucky” the kid is. To which I would reply, yeah - lucky that what was likely his first sexual experience was with a slut ten years older and using him.
Exactly my thoughts as well.
