A Washington teacher has admitted having sex with a 16-year-old boy in a sweetheart deal that drastically cuts any time behind bars — as it emerged she is divorcing her husband, who first exposed her twisted behavior.
Mackenzie Naught, 25, had faced five years in prison after being charged with sexual misconduct with a minor for romping with the teen from a neighboring school in her truck — soon after she started her job teaching first grade at St. John Elementary School. But the now-fired teacher pleaded guilty Friday in a deal that means she now faces a maximum of 12 months in county jail, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported.
Whitman County senior deputy prosecutor Tessa Scholl defended the deal, saying the teacher’s admission “represents an important step in holding her accountable for her actions and spares [the victim] the burden of having to testify at trial.” She was exposed when her husband, an assistant track coach at the high school where the teen studied, reported her to police after she admitted her behavior with the boy.

One source claimed the rate has not changed, it’s just it used to be ignored, etc. Not sure that is true, but that is the claim.

She taught first grade. The teen was from another school. That might be why she was given a deal, since she wasn’t an authority figure in his life. Technical rape is still rape though.
Her name now matches her teaching career trajectory.

A friend of mine used to be a chaplain at a juvenile detention facility. He said the youths' general concept of right and wrong is that something is wrong if you get caught. This one seems to have been operating at that mental and moral level. Oh, well...live and learn.
It happened back then too. 1980 our biology teacher was arrested for it, his name was Macdonald. The kids used to joke about the “big Mac attack”. His wife, also a teacher, was devastated.
At least her ex has found out about this woman’s lack of morals before they starting producing babies.
Pretty soon, this marriage will be in his rear-view mirror.

I doubt it. It’s one thing to cheat, which one shouldn’t do anyway, but it’s another thing to knowingly cheat with a minor. That decision shows inconsiderate and wreckless abandon. This newly licensed teacher thought it just fine to throw away all her tuition money paid, and her years of study in hot pursuit of a quick thrill.

The kid wasn’t her student. She taught first grade at one school and the kid was at a neighboring school where her husband is an assistant track coach (I think it said track).
at age 16, regardless of the woman’s looks, her offering the boy sex is like putting water in front of a divining rod.
She should have shown maturity and restraint. Lock her up!

At the NY Post site were two more articles. One was about 16, SIXTEEN, children in a house of horrors in Ohio with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa. The kids were all kept in a 12 x 12 room for at least the last four years. They're described as "feral", can't communicate or speak, never went to school. Ages are 1 to 18.
The second story was a 25 year old babysitter in Ocean County, NJ abusing a toddler in a bathroom in the house she babysat in and posting videos on snapchat. Also see tons of videos on youtube of similar garbage. It's just so sick.
Reverse the genders and a man would have a mandatory minimum.
