Wish he could. But there is no law that allows the President of the United States to instruct the FCC to ban or censor specific videos or content. In fact, the First Amendment and Section 326 of the Communications Act of 1934 explicitly prohibit the FCC from censoring radio or television broadcasts.

Contracts signed by performers for the Super Bowl stipulate that an artist’s performance and wardrobe must comply with the NFL’s standards. Failure to do so, could result in a stiff fine. Lewdness is in the contract. That fine reached $16M. The fine was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount in 2014. And the NFL and ESPN’s definition of lewd may not have been reached in their opinion. Another money hungry rich man’s sport and a godless mouse.
