A new study suggests that lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), also known as acid, could reduce anxiety.
This marks the first-ever trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of MM120 (a pharmaceutical formulation of LSD) as a monotherapy for patients with moderate to severe generalized anxiety disorder, according to lead author Daniel Karlin, M.D., chief medical officer of MindMed, a biopharmaceutical company in New York.
The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. …

Yes for those who want the benefits without getting high you could micro dose it. Many in Silicon Valley do this to increase their creativity.
Oh, I’m sure the MKUltra subjects ‘enjoyed’ it...

That’s the other side of the escape from the lab. Getting to the CIA, which of course screwed up its rep even more.
Ask Alice. I think she’ll know.
Magic mushrooms have a similar effect as LSD and is the better option because it’s natural substance whereas who knows what’s in the LSD sold on the streets. Also magic mushrooms might lengthen your lifespan by 30%.

How about a parachute jump in the army while on LSD?
That experiment used continuous low level administration for a week. People don’t use those psychedelic drugs continuously because they won’t work. You deplete the serotonin in your brain using them and it takes a couple of weeks to replenish it. I’m estimating the average user of those drugs only do it a few times a year. Using it once a month would be considered a very high user.
“Don’t see any benefits of a neurotoxic substance that causes severe sleep deprivation among other symptoms.”

And 100 years ago people with no vision stuck in their ways saw no use for the mold that grew on bread.

Dr. Gonzo told me to only take it every other day.
Apples and oranges comparison. We’ve had almost 87 years to figure out what LSD can and cannot do.
Not sure the flame is worth the candle.
Maybe just have some creatine and start garden?
The government has been scaring people away from these drugs for decades despite the fact that they are shown to be highly effective for various psychiatric conditions. And they are way more effective than the psychiatric drugs currently in use. And contrary to what many think the induced sensory distortions are actually fairly minor. I certainly never saw any pink elephants or had any other hallucinations even one a high dose of ‘shrooms. You can legally buy the spores for these mushrooms on the internet.
far out
I actually went up to a hospital near Vancouver, B.C. where doctors legally administered LSD. Terrific. I would NOT be alive today if I hadn’t been there, seriously hated myself. Found out I was internalizing ongoing war my parents had with each other and I thought it was my fault. It wasn’t.
Here is an episode from Dragnet about LSD.
Does not show LSD as something to take.

Friday and Gannon arrive at an apartment building and get a key to Benjie’s apartment from the manager. Inside they find Benjie’s friend, Phillip Jameson, and many drugs. Benjie is on the other side of the room motionless, having been that way for about an hour, and after telling Phillip he wanted to “get further out”. Friday checks his pulse and declares, “Well, he made it. He’s dead”.
That is a ridiculous story but typical of the government propaganda used against these drugs at the time. People don’t die from LSD itself but giving it to someone unexpectantly without telling them could obviously cause problems. The hallucinogenic drug ibogaine shown to treat addiction is the only one of the bunch that has resulted in several deaths and should only be done under medical supervision.
Thanks for posting about your experience. In my younger days I suffered from horrific depression/anxiety and only wish I had known about the potential of these drugs sooner. SSRI’s and the like never did anything positive for me and on the contrary they just made me incredibly irritable along with a myriad of other nasty side effects. Psilocybin mushrooms on the other hand were highly effective in treating these conditions. The word needs to get out about this.
Yeah right: could ease anxiety until someone experiences a ‘bad’ trip. After that, months or even years of flashbacks of that experience happens.
Just another demonic attempt to normalize something that is harmful to people and our culture.
