Our Founding Father’s grew hemp trees. Faster growing than pine and with the added benefit of hemp seed oil.

Other crops, such as cotton, need at least 1,500 gallons of water for every pound produced.
= = =
Does this include bathroom breaks for the ‘cotton pickers’.

But even better, food crops sequester CO2 by converting it to sugars ... just goes to show you Cannibis impairs ones ability to reason and think critically...

We don’t need Cannabis plants to absorb CO2, the oceans have been doing it just fine for billions of years.

Numerous studies have shown that hemp captures up to 16 tons of greenhouse gas annually, while trees suck up about six tons. All hemp in the world? A single plant? An acre of hemp?
Hudson Carbon, a New York research center that studies carbon storage, found that one acre of cannabis plants can store up to three tons of carbon, removing more than seven tons from the atmosphere.
Is it three or seven? Or is the author jumping back and forth between carbon and carbon dioxide without bothering to tell the reader?

Well of course. Leftists believe dope is the answer to everything.
To: algore
I suggest leftists who believe CO2 is evil should do their part and STOP EXHALING THEIR OWN CO2.
As a bonus, that would solve many, many issues.

Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant but contains deficient levels of the psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) compared to marijuana, which is another variety. The plant being discussed is not the marijuana that gets people high. And there have been groups advocating the use of hemp for many things long before the issue of excess carbon came along. Is probably worth considering.
I've been using hemp protein in a protein shake for years

You sure cotton needs 1500 gallons of water for every pound produced? Seems it is grown in semi-arid places without irrigation such as West Texas.
