Dr. Cyril Wecht distrusts the US government. And he’s proud of it. The forensic pathologist — who declared in 1978 that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone in assassinating President John F. Kennedy — is now 90 and still sticking to his story.
Wecht’s latest book, “The JFK Assassination Dissected” (Exposit Books), summarizes his six decades of research into the subject, and pokes holes in the conclusion made by the seven-man Warren Commission that Oswald, without any help, shot and killed Kennedy when his motorcade drove past the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.
“Young people are still being taught that the 35th president was murdered by a lone gunman, and that is simply xxxxxxxxx,” Wecht boomed during an interview at his modest office in downtown Pittsburgh last month.

Before JFK, Lee Harvey Oswald Tried to Assassinate a Former Army General
Lee attempted a politically motivated assassination in the first place. That is a admission he tried to kill someone before JFK and made him a more reasonable suspect for killing JFK afterwards.
He staked out Walker's home, and tried to shoot him at night from 40 yards. The round first hit the window frame and glass. Bullets fired at a angle through glass deflect. Good plan, bad execution for a variable not considered.
It was seven months between the attempted assassination of Walker and JFK. That is time to learn from mistakes and practice. The JFK shooting was in the afternoon, not night, and was not obstructed by any barriers, firing three rounds, not one.
Oswald was above average, not Carlos Hathcock. One shot one kill is an ideal and slogan, not a operational reality. Most rounds fired in combat miss, even snipers miss. Documentaries and the history channel only bring up the impressive shots, not the mundane misses.
So he missed once, learned from it, and did not make the same mistake again, other than not getting away with it the second time.
Why then wasn’t there all this speculation about who shot Reagan?
Becasue John Hinkley Jr was tackled within two seconds after shooting Reagan.
I believe I did read that. Maybe about a married couple who were sailing, were murdered, their boat stolen...? Could be a TV movie was made about it?
Well, he was a Democrat.....
Not one bit of evidence as ust a bunch of platitudes.
From his Marine book, Oswald’s 200 yard rapid fire result shows he hit 8/10 bullseyes and scored 48 out of 50. An expert rating on this test would have required a minimum score of 44 points (44 points x 5 tests = 220 points required). On his next test, 300 yards in rapid fire, Oswald hit 7/10 bullseyes scoring 46 out of 50. Again an expert rating on this test would have required a result of 44. So in both tests that most closely matched the conditions in the Kennedy assassination for rapid fire shooting Oswald scored above an expert level. Additionally on his third test from 500 yards firing slowly, Oswald scored 46 out of a possible 50: again shooting above an expert level.
You call that failing??
Yeah, Stone made up characters (Kevin Bacon) and had one asking who changed the parade route? They went the normal parade route through Dallas.

not mere platitudes- principles of law.
you know, the stuff that keeps people from knifing each other in the dark in caves.
all the evidence in the world is worthless without due process, and you are back to living in caves and stabbing each other in the dark.
Correct on both counts. Palmyra was the name of the atoll. Bugliosi handled the retrial of the woman who was initially charged with murder, and eventually acquitted. I never saw the movie, but did read the book some 15 years ago, so I may be fuzzy on some details.
Yep. More platitudes, and zero facys.
Thanks for the link!
I never heard about this incident before with LHO. But then, I dont recall ever knowing/hearing about Gen Walker.
I glanced thru the police report. Unless I overlooked it, I’m curious about the distance between the alley where they believe the shot originated & where Gen. Walker was sitting?
The only contrast between the 2 shootings by LHO is nightime vs. daytime - which is quite significant.
by the end of Stones movie..EVERYBODY was in on it...yeesh. But, that being said...i gotta say, ya watch the news footage of that entire weekend..def not law enforcement’s finest hour. How do you lose the President and the shooter days apart?...police headquarters jammed with the media...that midnight press where they paraded Oswald out and the media is grilling him..bizarro world, man....
I have read that someone recovered the first stage if a missile from the drink.
It was about 30-40 yards. You can still got to Google maps and look at the address. The church parking lot, alley way etc. mentioned in the police report are all still there.
I would think 40yds would be a piece of cake compared to the shot on Nov 22nd. But again, darkness is a significant factor for your average shooter.
facts
Driving back from duck hunting near Abiline on a Sunday, 50 years after the assassination, we picked up WFAA AM radio, and it was broadcasting in real time, with modern comments (And advertisements,) what they broadcast that day. They had Oswald’s name being broadcast about 35 minutes after the shooting. Pretty strange.
