Dr. Cyril Wecht distrusts the US government. And he’s proud of it. The forensic pathologist — who declared in 1978 that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone in assassinating President John F. Kennedy — is now 90 and still sticking to his story.
Wecht’s latest book, “The JFK Assassination Dissected” (Exposit Books), summarizes his six decades of research into the subject, and pokes holes in the conclusion made by the seven-man Warren Commission that Oswald, without any help, shot and killed Kennedy when his motorcade drove past the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.
“Young people are still being taught that the 35th president was murdered by a lone gunman, and that is simply xxxxxxxxx,” Wecht boomed during an interview at his modest office in downtown Pittsburgh last month.

“The Oliver Stone movie wasn’t plausible at all - total fiction with zero basis in reality.”
Yeah, we can tell by the way the entire DC establishment completely freaked out in their efforts to discredit it. First time I’ve even seen DC do that about a movie.
Flak....Target.
As I recall he was listed as a sharpshooter or on the bottom of the list. And then we have the Dallas shooting set up at the former Knob Creek machinegun shoot that to my knowledge no one was able to duplicate.
Yeah sport, I’m familiar with the USMC rifle qual. He barely passed.
I will always believe that LBJ had JFK killed.

Read The Man Who Killed Kennedy by Roger Stone. Very convincing.
Good point.
Let us first begin with the obvious that no assassin would choose a 19th century Italian bolt action carbine and fire a FMJ round nose surplus military cartridge if he wanted to kill anything other than a rabbit. Now let us follow the other evidence and not pretend that Ruby killing Oswald and then dying was a coincidence. There may be no answer, but at least you have not believed the Warren Commission.
See my post #71
And Jackie was quoted as saying it was not Jack in the casket.
The point was that he didn’t remember where he was.
> Only dimwits believe there was more than one assasin. Where is any proof there was one or more?
you are beginning by asking a wrong question (btw, it’s assassin, not “assasin” — you may want to be careful who you accuse of being “dimwits”).
the correct question is whether a jury trial, due process, and rule of law ever applied to Lee Oswald? The answer is undeniably no. A person is innocent until proven guilty. Not guilty until proven innocent. This is a safeguard to protect innocent accused from sham investigations, sham tribunals, and mob rule.
sham investigations, sham tribunals and mob rule is what you get when you deny someone (anyone) a jury trial, due process and rule of law.
The effect is magnified greatly if the people involved are people of power.
A crafty way to produce a sham investigation is to pretend that all the information is presented when in fact some of the information (typically, that which is inconvenient to a predetermined conclusion) is omitted. The final report has an air of plausibility, but in fact is incomplete and misleading.
There is also a principle. Is it ok if you are denied a jury trial, due process, or rule of law? of course not, because you are a nice person and all of the normal legal safeguards should therefore be expected to apply to you. But what if someone else is denied those elements? Would you agree that it would be OK to deny to others what you would expect as a matter of course for yourself? If your answer is yes, then obviously you do not believe in the Golden Rule. Should you ever find yourself in a predicament of having been unjustly accused of a crime, would you then deserve any sympathy from anyone else? if your answer is yes, then why would you deny oswald a fair trial?
the powers that be have invested decades and millions of dollars into brainwashing the US public that ruby’s assassination of oswald was in effect morally justified because after all oswald was “guilty” all along. weak minded and sub-par intelligence people continue to fall for this, and now look where our government is.
the secret service people drew their weapons on unarmed doctors, unarmed nurses, and an unarmed judge at Parkland in order to commandeer JFK’s body without any legal justification. That means, federal agents acted illegally, outside the law, within an hour of the Dealey Plaza shooting.
You need to ask yourself if this is the manner in which a presidential assassination should be commenced. Do you condone this? Would you have condoned doctors, nurses, and judges being shot at point blank range just to subvert the standard process of investigation into such an important matter, and in effect disrupt the chain of custody, tainting everything else that came after?

“doctor burkley told me that it was a simple matter of a bullet right to the head”
why did the warren commission fail to interview dr. burkley?

The Missing Physician
The Warren Commission was faced with contradictions in the medical evidence. The Parkland Hospital doctors who treated the mortally wounded President described an entrance wound in the throat and a large occipital (rearward) wound in Kennedy’s head. The autopsy doctors declared the throat wound to be one of exit, and drawings they produced of Kennedy’s head wound showed it to be largely on the right side. At issue in these varying descriptions is whether shots came from the front or the rear.
One man was best suited to address these conflicting accounts - the President’s personal physician Dr. George Burkley. Burkley rode in the Dallas motorcade, was present at Parkland Hospital, rode Air Force One to Washington with the body, and was present at the autopsy, by some accounts running it. He signed the White House Death Certificate, wrote “verified” on a “face sheet” created during the autopsy, and took physical possession of JFK’s brain and tissue slides.
The Warren Commission never interviewed him.
Though Burkley was continually mentioned by other Commission witnesses, the only statements from the doctor himself to appear in the Warren Commission’s 26 volumes is CE 1126, a report Burkley wrote 2 days before the Commission was announced.
In 1976, Burkley’s lawyer William Illig contacted Richard Sprague of the HSCA, saying that his client had information that “others besides Oswald must have participated.” Sprague was ousted days later, and the reconstituted HSCA and its medical panel never took Burkley’s testimony. Instead, a short phone contact the following year was followed up yet months later, when the HSCA was done with all its public medical presentations, with an strange affidavit signed by Burkley. The affidavit, in which Burkley attested to his constant presence with Kennedy’s body from Parkland Hospital on, seemed almost solely devoted to refuting David Lifton’s as yet-unpublished Best Evidence.
The ARRB in the mid 1990s contacted the family of the now-deceased Burkley, and initially received verbal permission to obtain the lawyer Illig’s files. But Burkley’s daughter subsequently changed her mind and in the end declined to sign the necessary waiver.
Questions abound about Burkley’s handling of the now-missing brain of JFK, his role at the autopsy, and his involvement in the 1965 transfer of autopsy materials into the Kennedy family’s hands. Did the Warren Commission and HSCA avoid Burkley because they were afraid of what he would say? In a 1967 oral history, Burkley was asked whether he agreed with the Warren Commission’s view on the number of shots. Burkley’s reply: “I would not care to be quoted on that.”
“I stopped caring about “who killed the Kennedys” long, long ago.”
“Well after all, it was you and me.”
Pleased to meet you, won’t you guess my name
But what’s troubling you is the nature of my game
“doctor burkley told me that it was a simple matter of a bullet right to the head”
Assistant Press Secretary Malcolm Kidruff points to his right forehead when he makes this statement.
You are both right on Bugliosi. I’ve read five of his books, he was a brilliant legal mine with a big ego, but that is common with people who are right so often. His book on the assassination is pretty definitive, IMHO.
But he had evidence of a frontal shot with bullet fragments in a brain that went missing. Not the “magic bullet”.
Allen Dulles stabbed America in the back on more than one occasion. It’s a real stretch to say he was a dedicated public servant.
Read also his book: “And the Sea Will Tell’. It is a true story about a murder on a remote atoll in the pacific.
Kennedy and the CIA were having a death match. Only one was going to come out alive. Kennedy wrote NSAM-57 (National Security Action Memorandum) to decouple the CIA from being able to use military assets without White House permission. The document is available at the JFK Presidential Library.
The CIA was able to convince itself that JFK was an immediate and grave threat to national security, not only because he was trying to defang the CIA but also because he reportedly was planning to invite the Soviets to cooperate in a joint moon shot effort and share certain related classified technology. Kennedy wanted to leverage the moon shot into the end of the Cold War.
Everyone has their pet theory of how it went down and I’m no exception. I believe LHO was a hard-core CIA operative from before his Russia days, and was in fact on a suicide mission to kill JFK, kill a Dallas cop and then induce the Dallas Police to kill him. Whether it was completely voluntary or because he was mind-influenced (MKULTRA), I leave to someone else.
I believe he did the shooting from the second floor of the book depository and then after being seen in the lunchroom, he moved the rifle to the “sniper’s nest” on the sixth floor. The intent was to create a disparity between the apparent location of the shooter and the actual trajectories of the shots. This disparity, they surmised, would be fodder for conspiracy theorists to postulate another shooter. The CIA intended to divert the conspiracy theorists into searching for a second gunman who never existed. As it turned out, other factors and actors were successful in ginning up the second gunman theory and the window disparity played no real role other than requiring the Warren Commission to conclude that LHO ran down the stairs and grabbed a Coke scant seconds before he was seen in the lunchroom. When in reality he only had to make a few strides from one room to another.
I believe it’s plausible LHO fired three shots and all hit flesh. The first shot went low through Kennedy’s neck and probably was diverted out of the car in some manner. This happened prior to Kennedy disappearing behind the road sign in the Zapruder film. Kennedy’s reaction was delayed because the bullet passed through soft tissue only. By the time Kennedy emerges from behind the road sign, tissue swelling is causing him to react and slump down to his left towards Jackie. LHO’s second shot is thrown off because of Kennedy slumping down. It passes over his right shoulder and strikes Connally.
LHO takes a deep breath and fires his final shot as the limo nearly comes to a stop. The bullet just barely catches JFK’s skull on the right side and scatters bone and brain matter.
After stashing the rifle up at the “sniper’s nest”, LHO walks a few blocks until he encounters Officer Tibbets, who he murders. LHO then walked into a nearby movie theater and waited to die, and thereby put a tidy bow on the mission. When the Dallas Police entered the theater they brought up the house lights and Oswald raised his pistol, expecting to go down in a fusillade. But one of the officers leapt over seats and jammed his thumb under the hammer, and Oswald was taken alive. Partial mission failure.
Oswald blew the mission in that respect and that is why he was so disgusted while being filmed.
I forgot to include that NSAM-57 was never successfully implemented until the waning days of Trump after the Nov 3 steal in 2020. It was just after Esper being kicked to the curb in favor of Chris Miller as Sec Defense, IIRC.
again... the CONCLUSION of the Committee was that there WAS a conspiracy. Yet you say there was there was no conclusive evidence ...ANYTHING
Sorry, wrong again. There was plenty of evidence as provided by the Commission summary, which useful idiots refuse to acknowledge.
So yeah, the Warren Commission was able to report that Oswald shot Kennedy. End of story according to you, right?
“... would out of picque” (sic)
I wouldn’t think it was from pique. I would think it was because he was one of those types that went mental during that era. He was pushing the missile gap, bomber gap and a first strike on the USSR. He wanted the attack on Cuba and Vietnam expanded. He was involved with the Algerian French Generals putsch that happened concurrently with Bay of Pigs and was supposed to remove DeGaulle while JFK was buy.
I think it was a cold blooded assessment on his part that JFK was not the cold warrior amenable to the worst of the cold war strategies he pushed so hard. So it wasn’t out of pique, it was stone cold and he was right in the thick of it.
