An MSNBC guest claimed Thursday on "The ReidOut" that supporters of the political slogan "Make America Great Again," a phrase coined by former President Donald Trump, want to "lynch or murder" Black People in the United States.
Brittany Packnett Cunningham, a Missouri-based progressive political activist and host of the "Undistracted" podcast, joined Joy Reid’s show to discuss a new bill, SB666, which would revamp the state’s self-defense laws. Critics of the bill have dubbed it the "Make Murder Legal Act" and have argued that it will make criminal or civil prosecution of individuals who use deadly force difficult.
An excerpt from the bill reads in part as follows: "[Law enforcement agencies] may use standard procedures for investigating the use or threatened use of force, but the agency may not arrest the person for using or threatening to use force unless the agency determines that there is probable cause that the force that was used or threatened was unlawful."
"The ReidOut" host asserted that Mark McCloskey, who is running for an open Missouri Senate seat, recently praised bill SB666 because it means that he and his wife "could have been in their slippers" and shot "every single Black Lives Matter" protestor that walked by "legally" and without subsequent detainment.

Worse than that, Cunningham said:
"So when folks talk about 'making America great again,' that’s the kind of Missouri grand ol' tradition that they want to return to. They want to return to days when you could lynch or murder Black folks and there would be absolutely no retribution for it."
Is this article from 2016?
yawn
And they label whites with a blanket charge of racism? It seems to me blacks see race in EVERYTHING!
I remember when a black talking head went ballistic when some investment guest said something about accounts being “in the black.” And another one screamed “racism!” when someone mentioned a “black hole” in connection with astronomy. And, who can forget that poor schlup white guy who used the word “niggardly” when talking about finances, and was immediately fired!
The fact is they shot no one, in their slippers or not.
The seemingly idiotic assertion by “Brittany Packnett Cunningham” should be a cause for concern given the record of leftists for accusing their political foes of exactly what they themselves have in mind.
Well, I don't know if they were MAGA/Trump supporters but three white men who killed a Black man in Georgia were convicted and two of the three will spend the rest of their lives in jail and the third got 30-years (Arbery trial). The twelve-member jury that convicted them was all white except for one Black man.
I think Justine Damond was in her slippers when she was shot dead by police officer Mohamed Noor in Minneapolis back in 2017.
.
The only time I’ve ever heard lynch or lynching mentioned is in some context related to some democrat/lefty/liberal bringing it up. Why are they so fascinated/fixated on it? The only time conservatives seem to talk about it is when a libtard brings it up and we’re left wondering “WTF was that all about?”
Wait a minute. I thought MAGA was about bringing back slavery. Brandon said it: “Dey gonna put yawl back in chains.”
Ok, that’s ONE possible instance of Trump supporters killing a black. That’s 1/300th or 1/400th of the black-on-black crime in Chicago alone in one year.
These loonies must be taking seminars in how to be even bigger loonies.
They just make stuff up. Throw it out there. And hope it sticks.
Blacks fared better under MAGA than they have under BBB [Build Back Better].
Reid and the other female get a platform on national TV to spew slanderous racist hate-speech.
*yawn*
Rules don’t apply to some people, do they?
The person who pounded Little Princess Brittney’s face that hard and that bad should have been arrested.
no... not really... just the ones who cant obey normal rules and laws. and oh ya... lets include the ones who loot and vandalize other peoples property...
Yeah, but the guy was shot, not lynched. So that part of your statement is still good!
